“Excellent hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

The hotel is in a wonderful location, in a quiet pedestrian only street but 5 minutes walk from the main shopping street, restaurants, St Stephens cathedral and The Opera House. We caught the S bahn train from the airport to Wein Mitte station and it was then a pleasant 20 minute walk through Stadt Park to the hotel.
Check in was fast and efficient and we were given a selection of information leaflets and the wi fi code. The internet connection was faultless throughout our stay. Our room (17) was so quiet we felt we were the only people in the world and the air conditioning is very effective and almost noiseless. The bedroom was clean and comfortable with everything you could need and the bathroom was beautiful - gold fittings and pink towels. It was spacious and I loved it.
The staff were all very polite and helpful, especially the breakfast lady - thank you to her. Breakfast is from 7 till 11 and is amazing, beautiful food including smoked salmon, eggs cooked to order and piping hot coffee. I would stay here again tomorrow and highly recommend.
My only slight criticism is that the only mirror is in the bathroom and when the shower has been used it is totally steamed up so impossible to see to dry hair, or shave or put make up on1

This hotel provides everything you would need for a pleasant city break in Vienna.. Being only five minutes away from the Staatsoper and tram stops as well as U-Bahn connections it could not be more convenient. Add to this amazing breakfasts, a helpful and accommodating staff , a great bar and very comfortable feather beds, then you can be guaranteed a happy time.
We had opera tickets and saw a magical performance of Marriage of Figaro. Perfect!
We would always stay here whenever we are in Vienna.

We arrived to a warm welcome and a perfectly chilled bottle of wine, which set the tone perfectly for the rest of our visit.

Our room was on the 4th floor and conveniently located to the elevator. Far enough away to avoid the noise but close enough to quickly access. Along with the welcomed bottle of wine in the room, the room was perfect - good size room, good size bathroom (with excellent water pressure) and all the necessities of a 4 star stay. Breakfast, which was included, was tasty and filling - make sure you get there in time to enjoy.

The hotel is closely located to the City Centre which makes exploring very easy. Parking is available for a fee and is handled through valet - which saves the driving around and around in circles.

A steady and fairly strong wifi connection is available if needed - make sure you ask for a code when checking in (will save you a trip back down to reception).

I along with 5 friends have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel and we all thoroughly enjoyed the Kaiserhof Hotel and Vienna itself. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff extremely efficient and friendly, the location very good and the price we paid was very favourable compared to others of inferior quality. The hotel is situated in a central location, very close to the Karlsplatz underground station, which made the whole of Vienna very accessible, very quickly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Free, and more importantly for a business trip, fast internet access. Very good breakfast and close to TU Wien, all in all a great little hotel. I'll definitely be back.

It's also 5 mins walk from Karlsplatz U-Bahn station which makes it very easy to get to from the airport shuttle.

Dear Tamara,
thank you very much for taking the time to comment your stay in january at the KAISERHOF.
Bathrobes in the rooms are not mandatory in Austria for a four-star standard, of course we hand out bathrobes on demand - as mentioned in the guest's guide. As well as the sauna- and fitness area, which can be used for free, the opening hours are also noted in the guest's guide. Our Deluxe Rooms are larger then the minimum size which is requiered by the hotel certification - we are very sorry that these elegant rooms did not meet your expectation. it would be a great pleasure to welcome you again in KAISERHOF to convince you of our service.
Best regards from Vienna,
Your KAISERHOF Team

The staff and hotel were perfect for a business visit to Vienna - 20+ senior staff accommodated.

The hotel is ideally placed for the city a short walk to the major attractions, parks and restaurants. Close to the station for train to the airport (16 mins). The hotel itself is discreet, placed off a main street into the centre - this is good as it cuts down on traffic noise. The entrance is simple although the hotel itself has character and is well appointed and looks freshly decorated.

My room was very clean, smelt nice, good bathroom and shower, linen and fittings, TV, kettle and fridge / mini bar. Fairly compact although still two beds, comfy chairs and ample storage / wardrobe save. Lots of towels. Well appointed without being grand.

Food was excellent and certainly restaurant standard although self service in the main dining room (with plenty of support staff present). I had breakfast (lots of choice including cold meats/cheese, continental, a dozen cereals, natural honey, pastries and more) and a lunch which was beef with a traditional Austrian approach (cooked in the gravy / sauce and with dumplings) - vegetables well cooked. Bear in mind this was for 20+ also.

Staff could not have been better - English speaking, cheerful and helpful from the seniors down to the support team. I was given a young man to help me with setting up equipment in a conference room and he gave me all the support I could need including lifting and carrying equipment, tables etc. Additional support was provided for WiFi access, projection equipment including close support during the event (important you are not left alone in case something goes down).

Overall, hard to find any fault and I would book again both personally for a trip with my wife and for the company.

Room Tip: Just ask the staff - I didn't have a spectacular view but the room was quiet, good temperature a...
