“Very central but maybe not worth”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

The hotel is very well located, a minute from Kartner street, shopping and other areas but it is too expensive for the comfort it gives. At first sight, everything looks cosy, nice and 'viennese' (pink, gold, old-style furniture), but then you discover that shower head leaks, etc. We had a very small room at the top floor (two larger suitcases would hardly fit) but the bathroom was quite big and equipped at the standard level. The bed was very comfy but the wardrobe was tiny, as everything in this small hotel (only 24 rooms). There is no parking and we had to pay over 40E for less than 24 hours in a nearby garage! But the breakfast was excellent.
Too expensive for what it offers.

Between Stephensplatz and Karlsplatz (one is the line for the station of trains to/from Budapest and the other one goes to Schönbrunn) in a pedestrian street = perfect location.
The choice of three big and healthy breakfasts is great, especially the one bearing their name (otherwise there is an American style and a light style), free fruits all day long.
Very nice staff. Crazy pink bathrooms (by Versace).

Why not 5 stars: the price is on the upside which would be OK considering the package but the suite for 3 is not that big - once you open the sofa, you can barely move around and also the sofa-bed itself is far from being comfortable. Very hard actually, even for children.

It was the Maria Therese suite which has NO view, windows opening on a small courtyard. The Sissi suite has windows on the pedestrian street so it is brighter. Some rooms have oak panels which looks older (and warmer for people who like the style).

Elegant rococo surroundings both in public and private spaces, modern bath, sumptuous breakfast with great variety, helpful staff, central but quiet location close to the Opera, near the Hofburg and Stephansdom. We couldn't have asked for a more restful stay with such easy access to everything we wanted to do.

We stayed for a week this October and loved it. It is a charming small hotel in a great location. We found the staff to be professional, efficient and friendly. I only got the names of two of the front desk people, Manuela Weder and Alexander Bosch. They were great. The dining staff were also so friendly and helpful. The location is on Annagasse, right of Kartnerstrasse. You are close to the main pedestrian shopping, Opera House, tourist office, St. Stephen, the Hapsburg complex, Augustina, Nachtmarkt, Karlskirche, etc. So convenient. We walked everywhere (not Sans Souci). The hotel had a very European feel to it. There are two entrances. I saw people arrive at both sides of the lobby so I don't think it really makes a difference. The small lobby area has a computer and alcohol that they will serve you. The dining room is on the other side. Each table has a beautiful deep pink orchid sitting on it. The elevator is small but efficient. Our room had an inner and outer door, lots of 3 windows in the bedroom and one in the bathroom, a large closet that had shelves, and a refrigerator, a very comfortable double bed, flat screen tv, desk with chair, another small table and two chairs. The bathroom was tiny but so clean and pretty. The wifi was free and excellent. Breakfast was included. You signed for what you wanted each day and put it outside on your door by 6 PM. I felt like I was at a tea every morning. They brought the food on 2 or 3-tiered plates plus juice and coffee, tea or fancy coffee. The food was any type of eggs if like, cold meats, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, croissants, breads. All yummy. It was a great experience. I had not stayed at such a nice Best Western before. I will reconsider in the future.

We just returned from a week in Vienna and stayed at this nicest hotel we've ever stayed in! It's not very big in number of rooms, but it has a huge dedication to pleasing its guests. The hotel has the feel of a B&B because of the personalized attention, but the rooms were every bit as complete as any large, 5-star hotel. The location in the city center is almost perfect; only a few minutes walk to all the city's famous (and not so famous) places to visit--churches, museums, restaurants, Hofburg palace complex, shopping, too many to mention! The decor of the hotel fits perfectly into its location; the baroque era was carried throughout, and romance is everywhere.

Room Tip: All the rooms are terrific, and the suites even nicer. The rooms facing the street have a little be...

We stayed 8 days in Vienna and loved this place. It is old, yet remodeled in a way that keeps the old world flavor. Our third-floor room overlooked a pedestrian street and the double windows gave us quiet nights' sleep. The tiled bath was designed by Versace (with a signed tile). Breakfasts are great. I had their classic one with smoked fish, fresh fruit, ham, cheese and various fresh breads. I had freshly-made fruit juice, prosecco and coffee. It was enough to carry me to dinner. Frau Weber and her staff went out of their way to be helpful. We walked almost everywhere since it it right in the middle of the old town area. Negatives? Hmm. The elevator is small and a little slow. That's about it.
