“Good beer, big food portions, not very expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2014

This is my second visit to this place. I came to visit it based on a recommendation.
The beers are very interesting, the food portions are huge (they should mention this in the menu - so to order half if you are not hungry:). And the price is acceptable (dinner with 3 courses and beer, for 4 people) - around 100 euro.
The atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly.

“Great food, great beer, great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

In Vienna for a short break and came across this brauhaus on the web. Made to feel very welcome by the staff, who all spoke good English. Good basic food, including "Viennese classics", plus the house beers were excellent (I would recommend the "Prager Dunkles" and "Hanf"). Final bill for two was also very reasonable compared to the Inner Stadt. About a 10 minute walk from the Volkstheater but well worth visiting this "off the beaten track" establishment.

“Superb beer and wonderful Goulash”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

This excellent brew house makes its own range of about seven different regular and seasonal ales from traditional Rauchsbier (smoked ale) to the mouth blowing chilli beer with a great range of more traditional styles in between. The food is excellent, we came back twice and my wife felt the Goulash was one of the nicest and tastiest meals she had ever had. Their schnitzel was tastier, more home made and cheaper than Figlmulller.
There is a nice relaxed atmosphere with a separate smoking section, the menus come in a variety of languages as it does cater for tourists as it advertises on the free city maps. A tram stops almost directly outside and it is very close to the centre, we enjoyed it so much we went twice in a five day visit to Vienna

“Touristy, but not bad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

Food is very good, so is the Beer and Atmosphere. I also had no negative experience with the Service, however it is always busy and the service is kept at it's toes... so no surprise if it does happen.
