“Great food, great service, great atmosphere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

The only place I went back to twice during my visit to Vienna. The food was good it was quite cheap, the waiters really nice and helpful.
Second time we went back the restaurant was completely full - on a Tuesday. It might be a good idea to reserve a table before going out there.
Highly recommendable.

“Great atmosphere outside the tourist circuit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

If you are looking for a great meal without great inventions, but full of flavor and in a nice and warm environment, this is the place you are looking for. I had the ravioli stuffed with cheese and truffles and would recommend it to any glutton. Definitely a great dining option outside the regions crowded by tourists.

“Big portions, great atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

I first came here with some Viennese friends. The restaurant looks extremely eclectic on the inside, but feels extremely comfortable and welcoming. The social groups inside were also very interesting: there were groups of senior citizens, of students, of families.

No wonder - for Vienna, this place is a great deal. 10-15€ gets you a large portion of food, including sides. (This might have been the best sauerkraut I have ever had.) There is delicious Bohemian beer and a schnapps menu. One friend waxed poetic about a daily special he had one afternoon, but has not seen on the menu since.

Why this gets four points instead of five: it is off the beaten path and can be hard to find, sometimes the handwritten menus can be hard to read, and sometimes it can be hard to get a table.

“Nice traditional Austrian-Czech food in a different environment.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

I liked the simplicity of this place. Don't expect anything fancy-- that's the beauty of it. Food was very good; seemed done in a homey style. Prices absolutely affordable for wien. Staff is nice and takes care of you. I took the mixed dumplings and was very happy. The location is not central but a 10 mn walk from prat. station.

“Bohemian and Czech cuisine in a special atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We get a recommendation from out host and have not been disappointed. Funny decorations on the walls, hand-written menus, diverse food (I recommend ravioli). In the evening reservations are desirable, the place is full of locals.
