The hotel is a converted palace which looked better than existing palaces in Paris and Vienna. The personalized service is excellent: we were escorted to our room, the concierge was extremely helpful, and the butler and room service was there when we needed them.
Our room was the most impressive hotel room that I have ever been in. We had art works on the wall, a crystal chandelier, a walk in closet, blue silk walls, and very high grade furniture. The lobby and public areas were very impressive. We have reviewed our photos and they are stunning.
The cafe and restaurant in the hotel were both very nice. I had a birthday dinner in the cafe where the food was very good and the service was excellent as well.
We were close to the Opera House, Belvedere Palace, Schonbrunn Palace, music halls, St. Stephen's and the subway. The subway is really the best way to get around Vienna. It was a short ride to the Danube and the Prater amusement park where we rode the famous Farris wheel.
