Owner description: The Cultural World Heritage Site of Schönbrunn Palace is Austria's most frequently visited tourist attraction. In the palace the residential and state rooms with their original furnishings and decorations convey an authentic impression of the imperial lifestyle. The park and gardens surrounding the palace make Schönbrunn in a unique synthesis of Baroque art as well as providing a convenient and highly popular recreational area for Vienna's population.

“Luxury and opulence at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014 via mobile

Beautiful palace that gives us a chance to look into the lives of royalty of years past. There are two choices for the tour of the inside of the palace. One choice is visiting 22 rooms and the other choice is, I believe, 42 rooms. It is worth the extra money to do the full visit. The extra rooms gives you a chance to see the more private lives of the Emperor and his family.
Our only regret is that we visited the palace at a time when the gardens were not at their best. We will have to make sure we come back on a summer day. Lovely palace that should be on the list of places to visit in Vienna!

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

My friend and I were there an early sunny Sunday morning (later there were many more people) and though I think during the summer blossoming flowers would only added to the beauty of this place this time we also were very pleased by the look of this place.

“Beautiful grounds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

We took the subway train from Vienna, an easy trip. Well worth the visit. The castle is beautiful, one of the most thorough tours we've seen. I especially loved viewing the Imperial Apartments, you get a great glimpse of what life was like for the Royal family. We probably enjoyed strolling the grounds just as much. Long garden paths, ponds and fountains and -- don't miss the greenhouse! Give yourself several hours, it is worth the stop.

“This is Vienna”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

I don't need 100 characters for this review, because Schonbrunn's other reviews tell the story. Bottom line - if you have one day in Vienna, you should spend it here. And by day, I mean day. If you flew around, it would take 3 hours. If you really want to get a full view on this spectacular complex, spend the whole day, including trips to the zoo and other attractions.

“A must see in Vienna!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

Wow! Don't miss this palace just outside the city. We did both this palace and the one in town and this one was far superior. Beautiful grounds and excellent audio guide tour. Be sure to choose the longer tour - it is worth it!
