“Worth a visit ! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

I loved this museum. Also I've seen similar in other countries. I don't relate to stones so much so skipped to more interesting parts. They had special exhibition there for extinct of animals in the world, I can't say it was shocking since you see it on TV but still it was very sad. A great place to get info about our world history.

“Don`t forget to look up”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

Before writing on the wonderful things this Museum display, I`d like to "correct" "wrong doing" - No one, that I read here, has written about the building of the Museum, take a look around before entering, the outside architecture is something to admire, but when you get in, it`s almost like you step into a palace that happens to be a museum too, the beautiful ceiling at the entrance, took my breath away, and as you walk between the exhibits rooms, just look up and see wondreful architecture and big painting (in some rooms the ceiling too), too bad there is no explanation, not in the Museum and not at the Museum website about it.

We spend more then 3 hours looking on the art of men and the art of mother nature and still didn`t cover all of the Museum.

And about the exhibits - there are like 5 big rooms displaying all kinds of rocks and minerals, at first it looks boring, but as you look closely you see the wonderful art of mother nature, not only variety of color but amasing shapes and "nature payting", almost under every stone, there is a note stating the country and city/area the rock came from, I wish they had a directory that you can look for a specific rocks from a specific city/state.
It was cool to see some rocks from out of space too.

My favorite show was the prehistoric exhibit with a "real" dinosaur that moves and roar (a bit scary for little kids)
My second favorite was the ston age exbhit (that also has a cool thing - there is a little monitor that display the room with a prehistoric couple walking around with the visitors)
Big rooms with every animel you can think of (prehistoric and present), I didn`t like the exbhit of animels who looks like they just died (example: birds flat on their back)

Next time I will clear the all day for this museum, loved it.

“Lots to see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

A lot to see; minerals, dinosaurs (even the "moving one"), nice cafe... And what a building. Take enough time when heading for this museum. Kids like it. In December there was a nice Christmas Market outside.

Not only you will find an incredible amount of animals and artifacts, but the building itself is beautiful.
