“Jufa Hotel, Bregenz, Bregenz, Austria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

Very nice hotel, in a very nice city and run by a very nice, helpful, friendly couple and their young daughter. The facility is about 10 minutes walk from the train station. My accommodations were excellent. Restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other shops are about 15 minutes walk. Bregenz is on Lake Constance/Bodinsee

First thing to note for such an expensive place you would expect wifi in all rooms, this is not the case at jufa. The included breakfast is very good, your typical array of cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, tasty rolls etc. Location is on the outer edge of town, not such a problem because town isn't that big but you could easily feel unsafe traversing the massive casino car park/train station area (as I sometimes did). Room was fantastic. We had a corner room with heaps and heaps of natural light, the bathrooms were new and clean, the room was huge and sparsely but tastefully furnished (for a budget place) and the beds and bedding comfy and totally odour free.

This Jufa is in a former textile factory. It is perfectly situated in a quiet area very near the floating stage and lake. Our family of three had a very clean triple with the third bed above the two twins below. Excellent TV that swung out from the wall to see at all angles, nice bathroom with towel warmer and hair dryer. JUFA plastic cups are a nice touch.

It was a school Holiday and there were numerous children running from one floor to another in sock feet. There was some kind of gym above our rooms where they had overnighted. We couldn't hear them except in the stairwells. Then they decimated breakfast eating breakfast and making one to three sandwiches each I guess for their lunch. This would not have been an issue if the breakfast had been replenished with 30 min to go before it was over. It looked like it had been a breakfast of good choices.

The staff were very helpful. There was plenty of space to unload our vehicle and then parking was very easy and free three minutes walk away. We also had dinner at Wirthaus am see which was very cozy with a fireplace and water views and in warmer weather a nice patio overlooking the water. If you walk by the floating stage, the lake area is lovely with a walkway and gazebo. If u walk left of the parking lot, we were disappointed that you can't really walk by the water because of the marinas there.

Friends and I stayed here for one night while we were traveling around Europe and it was great. Three girls shared a six bunk bed room that we luckily didn't have to share with strangers. The rooms were very clean, it was quiet, we had our own private bathroom, and lockers were inside the room. The only issue we had was with the shower not draining and soaking pretty much the entire bathroom floor. The location is practically across the street from the
Bregenzer Festspiele Seebühne (floating stage) and walking distance from a very good restaurant, Wirtshaus am See. The staff was very helpful, there is a bar adjacent to the front desk that serves wine & beer, and there was an included ample breakfast in the morning. I would recommend this to group travelers not looking to spend a lot of money for sure!

We stayed here both going to and returning from our holiday in Italy as it was exactly halfway point of our journey. The hotel is very simple and basic but very good. the rooms were both very adequate and very clean. They had forgotten to clean our room before check in on our return trip but in 20 minutes this had been rectified. All bunks in the rooms, no double beds, ensuite in our room however i think some were without bathrooms so a shared bathroom in the hallway was used. But they were probably at a cheaper rate.
The hotel is excellently located in the centre of Bregenz right next to the huge lake and busy lakeside area. Both nights we stayed there was something going on along the shores of the lake and it made for a very nice evening. Lots of restaurants and bars and stalls etc to stroll alnog and pass the gorgeous summer evening. We would definitely use it again.
