“Typical Austrian winter resort, good value for money, excellent location but lacks character”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2012 via mobile

Shortski 3 days. Excellent location, next door to the Hannekamm lift.
Booked a suite, unfortunately received one just above the entrance. Room 111, much too noisy, so try to get second or 3d floor and ask the south side!
Room is not very charming, lacks warmth....moreover suite service needs more eye for detail. Turnover the bed in the evening, a little chocolate, renew aminities in the bathroom.
Very friendly staff!
All in all, an OK place for a short ski.

We have just returned having had an amazing few days at this hotel. Ths hotel was absolutely fantastic. The location was perfect for skiers with the boot room at the end of the ski run quite literally. The gondalas were a stride away. Aside from being perfectly located it was the staff who made this a totally exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly, shown to our delightful rooms which were superbly clean and airy. We ate in the rstaurant for brekfast and dinner and the food was fantastic but the service just as good. We had a waiter, Kevin, who must be mentioned for his excellent service. His manner was highly professional yet warm and witty! Great! The wine water was also brilliant. The pool and leisure facilities were clean and of a high standard. Just can't fault the place!

I was here in March with a large group of about 30 people ranging from ages of 18 to 65. The location was amazing given you could end up about 15 meters away from the ski room. A short walk got you to the gondola lift as well as the train station and bus station, so very convenient for those looking to take day excursions to Salzburg, St. Moritz, etc. Aside from that a 5 minute walk and you're in the center of beautiful Kitzbuhel.

As for dining experience, the breakfast buffet had a nice variety to choose from and everyone was very happy with it. Dinner consisted of an open salad bar, bread station and appetizer/main course/dessert, all of which were very tasty. Dinner was served rather quickly each night, with very nice and charming waiters/waitresses. Only possible complaint could be that the portions may not have been enough to adequately feed some of the bigger guys in the group. Also, they charge water to your room (bottles) so be prepared for that.

I stayed in the Kitzbuheler Suite with balcony with 3 others and it was an amazing room with an amazing view of the mountains. Non-alcoholic drinks in the mini-fridge were free and replaced daily (coke, orange juice, water). Ice was brought to your room upon request. Beds were comfortable and the room looked nice and new.

The lobby had a great atmosphere, with a small bar and many places to sit and enjoy company (also had a pianist playing many modern tunes). The gym is somewhat small, but can accommodate a wide range of work outs if you know what you're doing. The wellness spa was very nice and new with a relax room for small chat and a quiet rest room with water beds (very easy to fall asleep there). The area has water fountain plus three containers of dried fruits to choose from. Saunas and steam baths were nice. Only complaint would be that there's no jacuzzi in the hotel (apparently difficult for them to obtain permission for it) otherwise the pool with view of gondola lifts made up for it. A friend got a massage there and said it was so so, so do consult them before arranging an appointment on what to expect.

All in all to really complain about anything would mean you are often pampered, and so for the quality we had I could not complain at all. All of the guests were happy and had a magnificent time, we definitely recommend this spot!

Room Tip: I would recommend getting a balcony with the room, it really adds to the experience there to be able...

Perfect four-star efficiency is how I could probably best describe this hotel: location is for skiers probably the best in Kitzbübel (together with the Schweizerhof just across the street) as it's right at the bottom of the Hahnenkam-slopes. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with perfect beds. Hotel has clearly been renovated very recently as everything looks brand new. Very good wellness area, and nice pool. Free mini-bar with non-alcoholic beverages, which is a nice touch.

Staff (from cleaning personnel through eggs chef to receptionists) all very efficient and professional. Friendliness is however exercised with caution, as the staff seems to think it comes in the way of speed and efficiency (which is probably in part true, of course), so the atmosphere is rather cold. There are also some ideosyncracies one needs to get used to, e.g. each room having an assigned dinner table, a thing one would rather expect from a family pension than a four-star hotel.

We were on B&B as opposed to half-board and that turned out to be a good choice. We dined in the hotel the first evening and food was far from memorable. There are, on the other hand, enough nice places to eat out in Kitzbühel!

Absolutely charming hotel. Recently renovated(?) everything is fresh and new. Natural wood and lovely Austrian patterns set the mood just right. The breakfast buffet is probably one of the best we've had so far with the most amazing chocolate croissants (i think i've managed to annoy staff when they ran out :). The staff is most accommodating and helpful they recommended 2 excellent restaurants. We never use spas in the hotels, usually try it and get bored... well this one is probably the most functional and well designed one .. with excellent indoor pool. i would recommend this to anyone

The above says it all. What a wonderful hotel, fabulous location and fantastic staff. The hotel is just a VERY short walk from the Hahnenkamm gondola and literally across the road from the ski school meeting/finishing place. We had a junior suite for ourselves and a twin for our teenagers. Very spacious bathrooms and rooms very nicely decorated. The dining room is great, buffet breakfast excellent and evening meals super. The staff are 5*, really pleasant and helpful. Swimming pool fantastic - loved it. I believe they are extending the hotel and the work is due to be completed in May - great news so more people can enjoy this super hotel.

We stayed at the Kaiserhof Kitzbuhel at Christmas, and it was just perfect! As well as celebrating Christmas, it was also my 40th Birthday...and the staff made it really special. It was our second visit to the hotel, and the food was even better than the first time. The rooms are really well designed and spotlessly clean. All the staff - from the cleaner, to the reception staff, to the waiters/waitresses/maitre d, to the manager are all so friendly while being professional at the same time.

The gondola is right next to the hotel, making it really convenient for skiing...alternatively the ski buses pick up just in the parkplatz a very short walk down the road. So its easy to get to the Fleckambahn, Kitzbuhler Horn lifts or other areas instead. The hotel is also at the bottom of the lovely long red and blue runs.

We really can't recommend this hotel enough. Thank you Hotel Kaiserhof!
