“Fine hotel in a fine location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

My wife and I stayed her on an extended ski holiday and found the hotel to be proper in everyway. The rooms are stylish and tasteful. The bed was comfortable. The staff is attentive and capable, the sauna is spotless and well appointed and the lobby is comfortable. The breakfast (included in our reasonably priced package) was excellent including a small sampling of fruits and rolls with eggs and bacon cooked to order.
You can ski out of the Hahenkamm lift no more than 200 meters away and ski back even closer. So, though there was nothing special or exciting about it, this is a very pleasant stay in an iconic ski town.

The hotel is a small hotel run for generations by the same family that are very friendly and helpful. It is very well located in the centre of town with the Hahnenkamm main ski lift around 150m away and two great apres ski bars next to the property - the Londoner and the Stamperl. The Stamperl is the place to be if you like the wilder and livelier action and we preferred this place for both apres ski and evening drinks.
The rooms of the hotel and decor are a bit dated and generally simple but decent and all areas are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is quite basic but was okay and had all that we needed. Parking was available outside the property and without charge. The family also owns a ski rental shop next door which is connected to the hotel and equipment was of good quality.
All in all I liked this hotel and would recommend it as a nice place to stay in heart of Kitzbuhel.

Booked this last minute and have been really pleased.

It's a little old fashioned but really comfortable and welcoming. It is run by a family and seems to have been in their family for generations. We had two rooms for 2 adults and 2 children next to each other. It felt like having an apartment.

They provided a relatively simple but perfectly fine breakfast. Cereals, yoghurts, juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, various hams and cheeses and eggs to order. Nice fresh bread rolls. There is a friendly waiter who seemed to totally belong to the whole theme. We liked the fact it was bed and breakfast as it allowed us to wander out of the front door and try all the different restaurants on the doorstep. One such restaurant is on the ground floor under the hotel - it is the Hostaria Kitzbuhel which is recommended.

It is a 5 minute walk to the Hannenkalm bubble so reasonably easy for that and you could ski down to within 1 minute of the hotel.

Just 50m around the corner was the fabulous swimming pook complex with 2 pools, slides for the kids, saunas, massages and a simple bar.

Ideal location being close to the Hahnenkahm lift and to town center. This well run friendly family run hotel was an excellent base for a most enjoyable ski holiday.
