We picked the Penz using Trip Advisor and got a rersonable rate through our travel agent of about £106 a night double. Its central position in Innsbruck is good, parking is underneath ( extra), my wife has disability and we used the disabled parking opposite for free, Austria is great for disabled parking.The hotel is very modern, no restaurant but great breakfasts and stylish 5th floor bar with scenic terrace. Rooms large, clean. Staff on reception not as helpful as might have been but I think we got trainee on booking in. Nearby restaurants stylish for locals, tourists go to Old Town , I recommend the Otterman (or something like that )opposite the Italian pizza place next to Golden Adler ( I don't recommend the Adler's food).

We spent 4 days here and found the hotel very good indeed. Number 1 positive point is location - just brilliant if like us you are on holiday in Innsbruck. Room was very quiet, very clean and modern, first-rate in fact. (With reference to another reviewer saying the rooms were 'tiny' - they're not huge but perfecly reasonable unless you plane to be sitting around for hours.)
Number 2 positive is breakfast on floor 5, just superb views and good food. Good service too.
It's a tad impersonal, with little to be seen in the foyer. The girl who checked us in was very nice, another less so later on. Internet is charged but at 1 eurocent per minute so very cheap indeed. Parking is charged too - shame.
Overall we'd go back there. Highly recommended if you like sharp, modern, boutique style hotels in a great location.

This was a 4 star all the way. Exceptionally clean and perfect location was tucked off the main streets, yet right next to the walking district. The decor was very Scandinavian-style and exceptionally spacious, not your typical European experience. Contrary to some sites, there was no free parking, it cost 11 € /day in the garage below the hotel. Our room faced the courtyard (outstanding views) and we had a very quiet night minus a few airplanes. The air conditioning left a bit to be desired, as did the refrigerator. The included breakfast was incredible, a spread that could easily run your 20€ if not included. More fruits and jams and pastries than you could imagine, even bacon and eggs!!

We investigated Innsbruck hotels at length and chose The Penz Hotel. It was a good decision. Location wise it was perfect. It is attached to a new mall and a few blocks from the old town.

Rooms are very modern, amazing bathrooms and LCD TV. The rooms are a bit small but perfectly formed.

Staff friendly, check in staff speak English.

Breakfast on the 5th floor roof terrace was the highlight. Biggest spread I have ever seen. And if you are a plane spotter the 8 or so flights a day into Innsbruck skim the roof as they approach for their landing!
