“Perfect location. Warm and clean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

It couldn't be in a better location. We were 3 people in a room and it was perfect. One double bed and one single bed in a different room (without doors but in a different space, almost a room). A very complete breakfast. Decoration very warm and integrating with the surrounding.

Great time at Hotel Weisses Kreuz. Had large family room on 4th floor. Lots of room. Great location, staff and breakfast. Only issue was the wireless signal was not strong and did not work with some of the usernames and passwords that each of us needed.

The location is good because you are in the center of town. The pros are: very very nice people who work there, very cute room, wifi, good breakfast, great location, nice looking hotel. The cons are: since you are in the center of town it is noisy, the rooms have no ac and are hot although they do provide fans but still hot. If you didn't go in the middle of the summer this would be a great place. The incredible nice staff is a big plus. They really are helpful and seem to really want to make sure your stay is great.

a little "dated' - but what else would you expect from a 500 year old hotel! the restaurant has huge german breakfasts. but the hotel is right in the middle of everything so there are many other option to eat during the day. everything in town is within walking distance. the staff is helpful.the views are great. there is not a single reason to stay anywhere else.

The hotel is a 12 min walk from the train station and is located right in the middle of the main pedestrian strip (Herzog). The tram to head up the mountain is only about a five minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are a little outdated but the bathrooms are remodeled and the hotel does have a certain charm to it. Hotel has free wi-fi and a computer station next to the front desk. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and patios. I would recommend this hotel for its prime location and decent price.

This hotel reminded us of a Pension, which is exactly what we were looking for as we love staying in family run hotels. The location was excellent. The staff were welcoming, always friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the square. We had a 2 night stay in May and luckily it was cool so we were able to sleep with the windows closed, so we weren't disturbed. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Our travelling companions had a room at the back so would highly recommend that. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is an easy walk from the train station and is in the middle of the Old Town. The historic part of Innsbruck for tourism is in itself quite small but the hotel is in the middle, just steps away from the famed 'Golden Roof' (although it was covered by canvas as it was undergoing repairs - disappointing for photos and a wedding which took place while we were there), choice of at least a dozen restaurants, and for more modern shopping just walking distance in the other direction.
The room we had on the 4th level was clean and roomy although obviously a bit dated. The only problem we had was the person in the room above us was continually walking around his room and we could hear his footsteps due to the wooden floors (we called him 'the stalker').We had no safe in the room, internet was free but only lasted a few hours before you had to go back to reception to get an updated code - we stayed 6 nights and I had to renew it at least 5 times, a bit of a pain!
The buffet breakfast was quite good although a bit light on with fruit and there was no hot food, except there were eggs which you had to cook yourself.
Reception staff were helpful, but cleaning staff always seemed to leave cleaning the room until late afternoon which can be a bit of a pain if you have been out most of the day.
As mentioned by others, going up the mountain to the snow in the cable car is a must - fantastic views.
Great place to stay purely because of the location.
