“Customer service was flawless”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

I'm not going to lie this is an ageing hotel. It is very well kept however, and very clean. The rooms were very basic but still completely functional. I stayed on the 12th floor, the room had an excellent view across Innsbruck city.

The hotel is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, cafe's, laundromats and travel agents. Congress Station for the Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen is a 20min walk away.

The staff at the Hilton were absolutely outstanding. The reception staff were very welcoming and accommodating, same for the restaurant staff.

The hotel restaurant & steakhouse itself was an excellent experience, great food. Dinner menu had a generous selection of local Austrian beef, plus plenty of alternatives. Breakfast buffet was amazing.

Room Tip: Ask for a room located on the 10th floor or higher, the views of the surrounding areas are breathtak...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

Stayed here for 4 days in mid December and had an enjoyable stay overall but a few things let the hotel down. The room was spacious, well equipped and had twin beds, one of which had a dirty bottom sheet and looked as though it had not been remade. The room was quite cold, despite the heating being on full blast all night.
The front desk staff were very helpful in providing general travel information and you can buy the Innsbruck card here which is very good value. Bowl of apples in reception provided some nourishment as we weren't on a breakfast inclusive deal.
The hotel restaurant was very good and we ate there two evenings. The quality and portion size was excellent and it was one of the best wiener schnitzels that I have tasted. Wife had a brown trout one eving and steak the next - both were well cooked and presented. Breakfast was very expensive and nothing special. I got the impression that the hotel was not full and hence turnover of some food dishes like the salad bar and fruit salad is questionable.
On checking out, the process was very slow due to their systems having crashed and receipts sorted manually to finalise the bill. However, the staff were apologetic about the situation and sent an e-mail apologising for the problems encountered.
The hotel is well located and within a 10 minute walk to the Alt Stadt and is a Euro12 taxi ride from the airport.
You will have a comfortable stay at this hotel and it was reasonably good overall value (breakfast excepted) but a little more attention needs to be paid to the small things that distinguish a very good hotel from a standard one.

Room Tip: Higher floors have great views of the Tyrolean Alps

We spent two nights at this hotel in August. Room size was adequate as was bathroom. Excellent view from our windows. Walking distance to everywhere in town, including the train station. In 3 months on the road, the breakfast buffet here was our favorite. Smoked salmon and cream cheese, pancakes, french toast, yogurts, made to order egg dishes, heaps of bread choices. It was overwhelming. Lots of smiling, helpful staff.

Can always rely on the Hilton for a great overnight stay. We got a really good deal in the Great Getaways sale, a king size room with breakfast included for under £90. They put us on the 13th of 14 floors so the view was amazing. The guy on reception was really helpful and friendly, let us check in 4 hours earlier and gave us a map and directions to the fernicular. The hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of the city. The bar was a little understaffed and expensive (as you expect to be honest) and the bedding is a little odd but that might be a cultural thing because we noticed our Salzburg hotel also had separate blankets. Just being picky though and wish we could have stayed in Innsbruck longer.

we stayed here for just the one night on the way from Vienna to Venice to get a daylight train through the alps. Was a good price (E130) for this purpose and we had a great view of the mountains.

As a hotel it was average and perhaps a little below what one might expect from a Hilton. Room had 2 double beds and bathroom had plenty of water.

Easy walking distance to the old city and golden roof. And easy to find from Rail station.
Christmas Markets were on when we were there,

Room Tip: ask for a mountain view

The hotel is located in strategic position, walking distance but out from the crowded city centre (especially in december...).
Rooms in Hilton style, with 2 queen size beds, bathroom quite basic but ok.
Rich breakfast, free crib for our baby (6 months old),
