“Good location, simple rooms, friendly staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We stayed one night in the Goldene Krone, it is located at the beginning of Innsbrucks main shopping road. The room was very simple, especially the bathroom, but clean. Ideal if you are just looking for somewhere to stay the night as the price is fine.

Breakfast had a good variety and the staff was helpful and friendly!

You cannot expect more considering the pice and the location!

The only good thing about this "hotel" is its location. Rooms are horrible, small and dark. Bathrooms are a joke. So tiny. I bet they designed them for dwarves. Beds are not very confortable, everything is cracking. They turn off heating at night, so it's getting really cold. Food is acceptable if you didn't eat for a week. Of course there's no internet in the rooms, but why there should be. No one is using it anyways, right? Prices like 60 euro for a night are ridiculous. This hotel should be priced more like a hostel.

The hotel is located at the edge of the old city by the Triumphal Arch. That's the best part. Otherwise there's not much to recommend it. The room was quite cramped, as was the bathroom.

Breakfast was OK, although there weren't many choices at the buffet. WiFi is available but only in the public area (which is very small) and it's EUR 2 per hour.

A bit disappointing, but close to the main train station. Exit from the station, walk a block to the left and the hotel is straight ahead around 200 meters.

Hotel is shabby. The room was very small with a tight modular bath. No hair dryer, not even any glasses in the room. No internet in the room, only in the public areas, with a charge of 2E per hour. The breakfast room is decent, the breakfast itself just okay. How could this hotel possibly have 3 stars as shown! Reading other reviews, perhaps some of the rooms have been updated, check it out before you book. The price, 90E for a double was no bargain given the quality.

Very good location close to train station (400 metres). This hotel was close to shopping area. I stayed in a large quad room with family. The booking included breakfast with coffee, tea, juice, apples, vegies, various breads and coldcuts. The beds were very comfortable.

The lady at the reception was very helpful and the breakfast was sumptuous. I had a wonderful 1 night stay.

Room Tip: The hotel is in the heart of the old part of Innsbruck

The Hotel is within walking distance of the railway station at about 10 minutes and the same distance to the historical quarter of town . The bedroom was quiet, comfortable and of a good size. The staff were helpful about tourist sites to see and some places to eat.
Wi-Fi was available in the foyer at a small cost. We found some hot spots in the main shopping area which are free. It's not the most modern hotel but we were very comfortable for our 3 days there.

Over priced and falsely advertised. There was no restaurant or bar, upon arrival we were told the restaurant next to the hotel could be used, however this was closed most of the duration of our stay which included Christmas Day. Staff at the front desk were very unhelpful. The rooms were small and COLD. The heating barely worked, and wasn't addressed by the staff even after repeated requests to resolve the issue. Wifi network was not secure and was more expensive than the internet cafes in town!!

Breakfast was okay, and kitchen and cleaning staff were friendly and efficient.
