“Great deal for Innsbruck...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

Stayed here for 3 nights over the winter break and definitely was exactly what I expected. Yes, it's a bit outside the city center, but if you pay attention to the bus schedules you're really just fine and pay 2 Euro instead of 15 Euro for a cab.

The rooms were clean and the beds moderately comfortable, but I knew to not expect the Ritz Carlton with this place by any means. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and for a traveller class hotel - the breakfast was fantastic with juice smoothies, fancy coffee machine, wide assortment of fresh fruits, rolls, meats and cheeses.

We woke up each morning to some strange noises above us (lots of banging and rustling) and kind of figured it was the housekeeping closet above our room as it rattled most of the morning. It's an older building, so the walls are thinner - but the rooms are renovated very nicely.

If you're looking for a well-maintained budget spot, this is definitely a good option.

I spent 4 nights in Alphotel, staff is extremely friendly..room is well kept, clean and tidy. View is amazing.. ! However, it is far from the city centre. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which could take you to the city in about 10-15 min if you plan well. There is a supermarket and a shopping mall right across, pretty decent!
All in all..value for money!

I spent only one night at this hotel, and it was a very hard one. Although the hotel rules available in the bedroom remarks the prohibition of smoking, there was a very strong tobacco smelling all over the room. That was bad enough to prevent me from using the bath towels. Even the bed linens were smelling real strong. Because everything looked like clean, but smelled so bad, I think the cleanness service was at a fault. I had a bad night and headache due to that. Despite my uncomfortable night, I can recognize some good points in this hotel. Everything in the bedroom seems to be new or newly refurbished. Decoration is well tasted; there is a supplied fridge, safe, hair drier, nice magnifying mirror and bathroom illumination, and free wifi in the bedroom. Breakfast is good. The hotel receives very large tourist groups, but staff is well organized to administer that without implying a chaos.

The only negative about this clean, tidy, well presented hotel is the distance from the centre. I would certainly stay here again but the walk is either great or a 'mare depending on your view point. Lovely city though

Our family stayed here last night. My only real complaint was the lack of AC, but we knew that when we booked. Wifi is good and free.
Room was basic, but acceptable. Location is not the best, but it worked for our purposes.
I will splurge on future trips for AC. It is not cool enough to not have it.

It is a nice hotel with an excellent view to the Alps. From the balcony see beautiful Ambras Castle.
Is on the outskirts, in the industrial area, but was quiet and pleasant. Rooms are large, tastefully furnished and clean as the bathroom.
The services were of good quality.
Breakfast was varied and tasty.
Gladly recommend this hotel

Beautiful spacious rooms with modernised wooden fittings. The beauty of my room was a sitting area near the window overlooking the Alps. What a view! I was mesmerised.

The hotel had a typical wooden cottage look which made it all the more attractive.

The bathroom was big and had wooden fittings with a lot of space for towels which made it easier for us as a family.

Good service and good breakfast. I give this hotel 5 stars. This hotel is befitting the capital of the Alps, Innsbruck.
