I recently visited Innsbruck with family and went to the Tyrolean Evenings with the Gundolf Family show. We booked tickets online prior to the holiday and pre-paid using a credit card, then printed out a confirmation that was emailed very promptly. As we had purchased Innsbruck Cards while visiting Innsbruck, we took them with us to the show and received a refund of 9 euros per person. The show started at 8:30pm and finished at 10:00pm and included a free drink in the price of the tickets. We were able to purchase extra drinks during the interval. It is possible to have dinner at the inn run by the family before the show, which we were unfortunately unable to do due to time restrictions with prior sightseeing. We requested the return transfer provided by the family at a cost of 4 euros per person. This can be requested at the time of booking or a later date via email. A member of the family picked us up promptly at 8pm and another member returned us to our hotel after the show. I loved the performances, as did my family, which were light-hearted and entertaining. The acts included yodelling, folk dances, local instruments, wood-chopping, slap dancing and many others. It was a lovely way to hear some traditional folk songs and instruments from the region. At the end of the show the family sang a medley of songs representing the various nationalities in the audience. This was a nice touch and great fun. The family have a wonderful sense of humour and are very friendly. When we went in October they weren't as busy as I can imagine they would be in summer, I think their season was winding down. However there were still enough people to create a cheerful atmosphere. A program can be bought prior to the performance for 1 euro and a dvd can be bought during the interval (we didn't buy this). You can take photographs and video during the performance for personal use. If you are after a fun and light-hearted evening in Innsbruck after a day of sightseeing, I highly recommend this show to anyone.
