During our whole 3 week trip to Europe our only rain days were the two we spent in Salzburg. We picked St. Paul's Beer Stub'n based on the TA reviews. It wasn't our most pleasant experience. If it hadn't been raining we might have enjoyed it more. Our first mistake was to walk there from across the river. When we turned down the alley we thought we had made a wrong turn but remembering some of the reviews, we kept walking up the hill until we found it. We were seated outside near the wall overlooking the street which on a normal day would have been delightful but on this day the smell of garbage came wafting up from the street below (probably again compounded by the rain). We hurried through our meal as we shifted around in our picnic table type seats under the umbrellas to avoid getting soaked. My meal was actually quite good but the experience wasn't. I'm guessing it's a better place for lunch because of the views?
