“Beautiful Hotel and Great Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2010

Beautiful hotel! We had a great room overlooking the Abbey. The staff was exceptional the room -a suite - was fabulous! They even sent up a DVD of the SOM so that we could refresh ourselves before our tour the next day. Will be back to Salzburg and will be back to Hotel Sacher!

We stayed 6 nights at the Sacher Salzberg. Our check-in was very welcoming and we unexpectedly but happily received an upgrade to our room. The room was fantastic, very comfortable and clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were at all times polite and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious (with Sacher Torte cake...yum), and we also tried out the hotel restaurants and cafe during our stay, all of which were excellent. We had a wonderful visit and would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic experience. Superb hotel in great central location. The hotel is quite lavish but what hit us more than anything else was the level of service. Even compared to other decent 5* hotels the service was exceptionally good and very personal. Some refitting of 1st floor rooms but work was very well hidden away so this did not have a negative impact on our stay. Would definitely go back tomorrow and recommend to friends.

Hands Down the BEST hotel experience I've ever had. The pampering starts from the second you arrive. You truly feel like a V.I.P. from check-in to check-out. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous with the most breathtaking views of the city. VERY attentive staff who's main goal is to insure a perfect vacation. And then there's the world famous Sacher Chocolate Torte which by the way, a piece is left in the room pro-bono for you to enjoy. If you don't mind spending a couple extra euros, the hotel is pricey, definitely stay here. They also have FANTASTIC rates in off seasons, around April-May. Enjoy your stay and prepare to NEVER want to leave.

We stayed at this fabulous hotel for 5 nights and we felt like royalty. The service was second to none and the staff were very friendly. There was a problem with the water on our floor on the 3rd night we were there and had to be moved from our already gorgeous room to an even better junior suite - it was amazing and the staff did everything to make our move as smooth as possible. Everything from start to finish was fabulous and we would definately stay again and this lovely hotel.

This grand hotel is right in the center of Salzberg and is only a short walk to all the main sights. It sits along the river with some spectacular views of the old town.

This is not a modern hotel but thats what gives this hotel its charm, from the moment you step into it its like going back in time with big grand staircases and darkwood reception desks to a fantastic piano bar over looking the river and a fantastic cafe that sells the world famous Sacher Cake.

If I was going back to Salzberg I wouldn't look any further than this hotel

My mother, husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel for four magical nights this summer where we were upgraded to a wonderful, spacious and spotless clean room with all the amenities. The location of the hotel cannot be beat - you are less than a stone's throw away from EVERYTHING: be it cultural attractions, beautfiul sights, shopping or restaurants. We had breakfast daily at the hotel which was quite a feat. Anything and everything you could want for breakfast is served. We also tried two of the restaurants at the hotel for two delicious dinners, mouth watering sandwiches and coffee at the outdoor coffeshop overlooking the Salzach; and listened to relaxing music and had drinks at the hotel's bar. The staff is extremely attentive, professional, courteous and quite eager to help without being overbearing. They are ready with suggestions and recommendations for places to go and things to do, and also take care of reservations, bookings, transportation, and the delivery of the associated tickets to your doorstep. This lovely and charming hotel adds to your enjoyment of a city that is already breathtaking. So, don't look elsewhere - go to the Sacher. We cannot wait to go back.
