“5 floors- some great, some just ok”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

we went with two young children (2 and 4 years old). They loved the aquarium, the reptile display, the interactive science part and the human body display. some of the (stuffed) animals displays were too scary or too boring. some spots (tyrannosaurus, dragon, crocodile and snakes...) might be scary for some children. altogether worthwhile, but invest a few minutes in planing the visit so you won't waste all your time on dark gloomy stuffed rodents displays, where exciting hands on science is right next door.

“You need an entire day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Haus der Natur has expanded and includes a wide variety of displays and interactive activities. There is a wonderful aquarium! The Doppler exhibit was fascinating. We wished we would have had the grandkids with us, because they would have loved it too.

“Cool place if it is raining when with kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Being from Florida, I am used to science/fun exhibits. This spot is another one. Good if you have nothing else to do as it does help spend the day with the kids. Nothing fabulous, however, i have been a few times since the kids like it.

“More fish than bones!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Situated at the north end of the old town, this gem of a museum is definitely worth a visit, whether you have children with you or not. There is a really good aquarium section on the ground floor as well as a floor full of live reptiles (including an alligator). The rest of the museum is made up of other exhibits (from space to minerals), which are all well presented and include interactive exhibits too. If you are British and have any teenagers with you, I can thoroughly recommend taking them into the section on 'sex and relationships' and watch ow they compare to our more liberated European cousins!

The museum is much bigger than it looks from the outside and you could easily loose a few hours in here.
