“Lovely and nice hotel ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2014

The room was very nice and comfortable, spacious. Quite near to the center, less than ten minutes walk. The buffet breakfast had a nice selection of food and drinks, all delicious. We spent two nights there and we highly recommend it!

I staid two nights in this hotel with my wife.
Hotel is average in all seances.
We had unpleasant surprise during check-in - wc in our room was dirty. Long black hair and some spots were on the toilet.
Сhambermaid cleaned our room again after our request.

Breakfast was unvaried and average.
We are smokers and smoked on the garden of hotel.
Nobody changed ashtray during hole day. So ashtray was full from noon.

We planned to visit Salzburg for only a couple of days, but found the city was too nice to run through. We were so pleased with the accommodations at Hotel Jedermann (a hotel for everyman), we extended our stay an extra night to give us more time to enjoy Salzburg. The owner and staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and polite to us that we felt very much at home. The breakfast was excellent and provided us with plenty for a full day of activities. Also, the beer in the refrigerator was perfect for a relaxing evening in the our room.

Hotel Jedermann is located in a suburban area away from the noises of tour buses and crowds of tourists walking the streets in masses. Great for peaceful and restful evenings. Short walk to the old city or a 2 block walk to take the bus into center.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are larger with bathroom with tub and shower. Also, corner rooms provide quiet place t...

Fairly good rooms with good shower though TV didn't have remote control though as hardly any English channels then this didn't matter too much. Some good points of this hotel are that for the money you get quite good comfort, is walking distance to most things of interest in Salzburg and the breakfast is pretty good in a nice bright room. Parking is available though can get busy with not many spaces. There is free wi-if though connection was slow. Bad points are that reception closes at 8pm so you better get there beforehand or you'll have pain in the butt calls to make. Overall though, I'd certainly consider going again.

Very friendly managing staff. Great breakfast (included in the price of the stay). Close to the center - 10 minutes by foot. Quiet area. Parking place. Free wi-fi in the room. Very clean. Highly recommended.

If you've spent any time traveling in Europe, you probably know that most metropolitan hotels come with their fair share of street noise, which can be problematic if you have to leave your windows open for ventilation at night.

Hotel Jedermann (the name means, "Everyman") is located in the quiet suburbs right on the outskirts of Salzburg, so it gracefully circumvents that issue. It's about 15 minutes and two turns away from the old town, so get your walking shoes on.

A few people have commented on the distance to the old town. I imagine if you have a health issue it might be a problem, but seriously if you do any amount of regular walking in your daily life, it's not a big deal. For me, it's worth the short hike just to be able to sleep soundly at night. Plus, it's a nice little walk through the newer part of Salzburg, where you can stop at a store to get supplies or pick up your obligatory bag of Mozart Kugeln (Chocolate Marzipan balls).

From the exterior, the hotel is pretty unassuming and just looks like any other building. But the interior is renovated and full of new, very clever and engineered features. They've covered every detail here and it feels light, fresh and clean. The bathrooms are very clean and the shower runs hot.

The buffet-style breakfast has more than enough of everything here, from local jams and yogurt to cold cuts and cheeses. The breakfast room has a nice view of the back plaza and ample seating for about 75 people. Tables and chairs are new and again, the space is very clean. The ladies who cook and serve at the buffet work very hard, I tipped them a little something :)

The desk staff speaks English and are very helpful. They can set you up with a tour or a Mozart concert.

Room Tip: There are no refrigerators in the rooms, so if you buy food/wine that needs to be kept cold, ask a s...

The hotel is very clean and basic hotel. Since it is not really centrally located, transportation alternatives are important.

Old Town is a 15-20 minute walk or a ten minute bus ride on bus #4 which on week days runs every 10 minutes. The bus stop is a couple of blocks from the hotel.

From the train station you could walk it. We got lost and ended up taking a cab for 8 Euros.

The 2 bus will get you to the airport in around 35-40 minutes. You need directions to the bus stop from the hotel.

Breakfast was very good and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful

Note to hotel you need to replace your saggy bed pillows.

Tip to everyone consider buying the Salzburg Card which gets transportation and admissions. You can buy it at the hotel.
