As a couple, we stayed at Hotel Mozart for 3 nights and had a great experience.
The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, well equipped with mini-fridge, flatscreen TV, armchair, and lovely and airy with dual aspect windows.
I really liked that there was a little porch/entrance area in the room to hang your coat and put your shoes - it gave it the feeling of staying in a suite.
The en-suite bathroom was lovely - again, really spacious. It was spotlessly clean (gleaming would be a better word) and the cleaner came in and gave us fresh towels every day. There was complimentary shampoos/body lotions to use, and the shower was blissfully hot and powerful.
The staff were fantastic - couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. They gave us a map of the city, suggested sights, and gave us a restaurant/bar map with suggested places to dine. We went to 3 of these and they were all great so definitely worth following their advice!
The breakfast filled us up through lunch every day. Well worth the 6 Euros.
They had fresh cured meats, jams, pickles, eggs, a cheese platter (a personal weakness of mine!), a bread basket for your table with about 6-8 variations of breads and rolls, a cheese and butter basket to your table with cream cheeses and 3 different butters, fresh fruit, about 3-4 cereals, yoghurts, tea, coffee, various juices. Unless you're one of those people who must have a hot breakfast you cannot go wrong for something (or several things) to eat!
The location was about a ten min walk from the old town (and main Christmas market) through shopping streets. There was a mini christmas market with wine and bits and bobs about 5 mins en route as well. There were supermarkets, convenience stores, and a good brewery on the doorstep. It felt like a safe, local area of the town. Very quiet.
The bus from the airport (number 2) stops right outside and takes about 30 mins and costs £3 Euros ish.
The only slight negative was the walls were incredibly thin - i could hear next door talking to each other when i was in the bathroom, and when in the corridor we could hear from all rooms, but the hotel wasn't hugely busy when we stayed so it didn't affect us too much.
This one tiny negative would definitely not stop me recommending or staying at this hotel again.
For a general point, i'd definitely also recommend visiting Salzburg for the Christmas markets.. it's so festive and pretty and very romantic.
