“very clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

We stayed here in November with our 6 month old son. The room was spotlessly clean and a decent size. The breakfast was tasty. There was a wide choice of foods both continental and cooked. The hotel was in a perfect location at the edge of the new town. The beds were very comfortable, probably the most comfortable hotel mattress I've ever slept in. The travel cot was adequate for our sons needs. The bathroom was simple but again spotlessly clean and the soap etc provided was lovely. There were a few points which weren't ideal, the room was very hot and the temperature was difficult to control. We ended up with 2 single beds pushed together which wasn't the best as they slid apart easily due to the laminate flooring and also 2 single duvets. There was no tea/ coffee available in the room so we bought bottled water and diluting juice from a local Spar.

Stayed here for 3 nights; the hotel was in a great location and it was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Just a few issues really - our key card stopped working several times, so we had to come down from the fifth floor several times to get it activated again. Also there was a bulb out in the bedroom and we had to ask twice for it to be fixed. The internet connection was very slow and kept dropping out. The bar staff were so rude and abrupt so that was a shame really. Our stay wasn't all bad though.

Booking was made through late rooms and was a great find. The price was a bargain and the location just near a direct walk to old town. [10 minutes direct 30 minutes taking in the wonderful shops]
The staff were very helpful and not intrusive. Top tip from trip advisor, high floor and non-smoking room requested and allocated.
We were in room 22, 4th floor, 422, which was of excellent size. The usual twin bed that looks like a double with individual duvets. Very modern in red and black and beige with dark wooden laminate floors. All together very trendy and smart.
Good size bathroom with efficient shower was great to warm up after our long walks in the cold conditions.
Grumbles are very minor, 4.80 euros for a bottle of fizzy water in the room and not tea or coffee making facilities. Not a great lost but I like my cup of tea in the morning.
The hotel check was a very reasonable 12 noon and they looked after our suite cases so we could make the most of the last day.
Got the number 2 bus from and to the airport at a cost of 2.80 euros / person/ way and the stop is 100 metres from the hotel.
Total recommend this hotel especially price, quality and exceptional location.

Room Tip: High floor make sure if you don't smoke ask for non smoking room - buy water at the spar next do...

Hotel itself was in perfect location to explore the city centre of Salzburg. Room was ok, bed was not really good, parking was expensive 17 hours per night, if you are there from Saturday to Sunday you can park free on the street ( from 16:00 hours onwards), but the FO desk obviously was keen to sell the parking lot. As Austrian you know this but as tourist from abroad it is hard to figure out, so the guest checking in in front of us have not been told this and just put down in the parking lot, that's not what I call customer service.
The room itself was ok but not very welcoming, the bed was horrible ( for my understanding). Breakfast we did not use.
Next time in Salzburg I would go back to Motel One ( most likely cheaper) where I stayed last time and get better value for the price.
By they way take your time for check in and check out, I was waiting for more than 20 minutes twice.

Room Tip: if you prefer it quite, ask for a room not facing the street.

Very Nice Hotel in the centre of Salzburg. (at the end of the "Linzergasse")
Nice and cosy atmosphere in the hotel. The rooms are decorated in cosy and warm colours.
We had dinner in the Restaurant, good dishes at reasonable prices. the staff is really motivated and polite.
The breakfast is Great!, hugh variety of fresh products, and allmost all products are antiOx, so tasty and healthy :)

next time we go to Salzburg we will stay at the NH hotel again for sure!

Room Tip: for a small extra fee (€20 per night), you get a beautiful Superior room. with loads of complimentar...

The hotel was clean and well located to the old section of salzburg. Room and ensuite were large. Reception staff spoke excellent english and remembered who you were. Breakfast was the best i had had any where in europe.
