“Great Hotel, definitely recommendable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2010

My partner and I found this hotel in the internet. Very good location a 15 minute walk to the old part of historical downtown. Staff was helpful. Rooms were great, nicely decorated accordingly to the style of the hotel, great linen. The room we had was very large and comfortable as well as the bathroom was quite large, and recently remodeled, very nice. They offered a buffet breakfast for a very reasonable price, with wonderful fresh breads of all kinds, scrambled eggs, sausages, ham cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereal, etc. very complete; tables nicely set. Strongly recommend it. You get what you pay for, good value.

Stayed here for two nights. Had a triple room with a separate room for the third bed. 7 minutes walk to train station and 20 minutes walk to old town. There is a local restaurant with good food and prices about one and a half block down on the same street as hotel. Nice sitting area on ground floor to relax, read, and use the Internet. Nice exercise room and sauna facilities. Would stay here again.

We (two adults and to kids 7 and 9 yrs old) stayed in the hotel for two nights. It was more than enough.
On arrival no assistance was given with the luggage . The receptionist just nodded towards the trolley and we had to struggle with the bags and the elevator doors.
The cleanliness needs to be improved. The towels were dirty. The kids' beds were terrible, old and not properly covered by the sheets. The pillows were really bad. The rooms are poorly organised. All in all a terrible experience. The city is so beautiful and we spent most of the times outside. We plan to return but certanly not to this hotel.

The information lady at the train station was Not nice at all, she even gave us the wrong direction to the hotel. Once we found it ,we were very happy. The hotel is very nice and clean, and the staff were great to help us. Great location, easy to get around in Salzburg. The people of Salzburg are so friendly and very proud of their culture. It was my most favorite place on our month long trip. I wish we could have captured the sounds of the bells that toll there,it was so beautiful.

The stay began on a sour note when the toilet needed flushed upon arrival. The room was large with plenty of storage in the closet. The free internet worked well, and the 6 Euro parking was nice. The A/C was really just a forced air system, so the room was rather stuffy at night. Road noise prevented sleeping with the windows open. The breakfast was good on the days it was not too hot. I am not a big fan of sweaty cheese. The location provided easy access to the city as other reviews mentioned. On a side note, I recommend purchasing the Salzburg Card which was a good value for us.

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the City Centre.
It is an older hotel and the rooms reflect older furniture. The room was comfortable, clean and fairly large.
The offered breakfast in the morning that was not too bad. They have internet access and free parking.
Good value for the money. If you checked out that day you could leave your car in the lot for the day.

We enjoyed a wonderful buffet breakfast (as promised by their website) and the location which was only about a 7 minute walk from train station. The room provided everything we expect in a small hotel, and provided a free internet computer. It is a bit of a walk from historic Salzburg, but provides a quiet location in a more realistic and affordable neighbourhood. Staff was friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable. Excellent value for money - and then there's the spa/sauna complex on the top floor. Fantastic way to end your busy touring day with a steam/dry or wet sauna, very relaxing - and you can book a massage.
