“Excellent value near train station”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013 via mobile

This is a very nice hotel, and we enjoyed a spacious suite here for the same price that we paid for a smaller room in a lesser hotel elsewhere. This hotel offers value for money when it comes to rooms. (On the other hand, the breakfast, at €16 additional per person, seemed a bit steep, so I chose to skip it and can't comment on it.) Our suite was comfortable, quiet, and tastefully decorated. Service at the front desk was very attentive and helpful. The location is convenient to railroad station, but I found that this is not the nicest part of Salzburg. I don't think it's a dangerous area, just a bit dreary and commercial. Still, the charm of Salzburg's historic center is just a 15-20 minute walk away, or maybe 10 minutes by bus or taxi.

This hotel is quite close to the station but about a 20 minute walk to the main sights of Salzburg. We were met by George on reception who was very helpful when you asked him anything but didn't really volunteer any information. Perhaps he's a bit shy!?!?
The rooms were a good size and very authentic but were a bit dark. The fridge and proper kettle were a handy addition. I wanted to use an iron whilst I was there and George was only too happy to help.
We didn't have breakfast so cant comment on that.

The hotel is really comfortable. The staff was very helpful and efficient when I needed. The breakfast was really good, I just would like to suggest to the hotel manager to add more cakes and pastries and for sure it will please more visitors in my opinion. The hotel restaurant is superb, the food was excellent, everything from the service to dessert was very good, and at the end not expensive. We were in a room facing the parking, so no complains about the noise from the high street. If you have some spare time, make use of their facilities provided (sauna, gym, and spa). The hotel is located very closed to the main train station and not far by foot to the Old Town. We just hope to get a better weather next time.

We enjoyed our stay at this well run hotel which is an easy walk from the train station. The staff were very helpful, and the room was spacious with an exceptionally large bathroom. The main downside was the location was a bit drab and something of a hike to the alte stadt.

Enjoyed our quick stop at this hotel. A bit out of the way from the highlights of Salzburg but still within a reasonable walk to some attractions. The room was of a good size with a huge bathroom. Quite an interesting layout with the room being quite long and narrow. Unlike many hotels in Europe they had tea and coffee making facilities in the room which was a nice touch.
Desk staff were courteous and efficient, and the hotel overall was clean and well presented.

Stayed for 4 nights and was really impressed with the location, service and quality.

It is right next to the station and the same distance again into the town.

The staff were knowledgeable and very helpful, dressed in traditional Austrian clothes making the experience very authentic

Stayed here in a family room for four -- clean, well appointed, space (separate bathroom and WC, plus lobby area outside bedroom), good air conditioning (important in the hot Salzburg summer) and plenty of choice and quantity at breakfast. 5 mins walk from station, large supermarket and shopping centre nearby. 20 mins walk to the old city, but there are plenty of buses from near the hotel and the Salzburg 24h transport pass is very good value. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all an excellent choice.
