Description: The cafe terrace on the banks of the River Salzach is a perfect spot for coffee in spring and summer whilst the sumptuous interior ineffably blends the old world Sacher charm with modern comfort. As well as our much-loved desserts there’s also a variety of delicious savoury dishes to enjoy. At the Sacher Confiserie next-door to the cafe you can buy Original Sacher specialities and have them sent to friends and family members anywhere in the world.

“Tasty coffee and sacher cake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

Very delicious whipped cream coffee and great Sacher cake which is one of the most famous Austrian cuisine. Fancy restaurant, good service and very close to the old town. It's a bit expensive.

“Good food - impatient waitress”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

This was our first visit to Cafe Sacher. The food was good, the waitress behaved irritated when serving tourists. She could have tried a bit harder.

“The torte rules”

A must for an afternoon break- a Sacher torte and coffee or hot chocolate. Wonder atmosphere and prompt service.

“Yum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

We couldn't walk by without buying a mini sacher tort as a snack. Great, fresh and only 2.50 euros. The staff speaks many languages and happy to package your dessert to-go.

“Yum, Sacher Torte!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Had always read about this cafe and was thrilled to have the chance to visit. Had me a slice of famous Sacher Torte and really enjoyed. it. Okay, it is a little dry and the frosting a little grainy but I wanted to try the original and was glad I did! It's quite lovely inside. Went late afternoon so not crowded. Enjoyed my cake and tea and would definitely go again!
