“Excellent, best place I stayed in Austria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Really really nice place to stay. It's really really clean, I stayed in a couple of different rooms and even the hostel areas were amazingly clean, nothing like any hostels I've ever stayed in before. The late checkout (11am) was brilliant, allowing me to see a bit more of Salzburg before I left and they looked after my luggage, even after I checked out which saved me lugging big bags around the place. The staff were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. They really helped us out quite a few times.
The breakfast is incredibly good and keeps being topped up as the morning goes.
If I come back to Salzburg I know exactly where I'm staying.

Saw lots of younger folks most likely doing Europe after college--seems to be that word is out that the hotel is a good place to stay. Really nice room and good customer service. The only problem I had was finding it as I caught the S-bahn train number S-3 from the main train station to the nearest stop (Gnigl). I found the address which was a somewhat large shopping center. I didn't know the hotel is part of that building and I went into the wrong door. A helpful shop clerk told me the correct route to the correct door. Very clean and efficient. The hotel is located about 20 minutes by foot to the old town.

The hotel location is quite good. The bus stop is in 5 minutes walking distance. There is a nice greek restaurant at the corner of the hotel.

The rooms are nothing special, but clean and equipped with everyhing what you need. A little bit small, but it's enough. We had a room facing the street. It was quite loud. For us not such a big problem, but could be a sleepless night for other guests.

Breakfast is not bad, but also not good. There could be more variety.

In my opinion the hotel is more like a hostel (atmosphere, reception, style). But when you just want to stay for a weekend in Salzburg, it is enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. If you walk from the edge of the old town it is about 25minutes or a bery frequent bus for about 2.30 euro. The rooms come with comfortable beds, exceptional bathrooms (stayed in ensuite), cleaned daily, and the staff are on the ball with a book full of all available activities and booking tickets. Highly recommend. Ps; consider buying Salzburg card for Salzburg, and if going to Bertrsgarden then onto Munich (same day) book a Bayern Card(22euro 9am to 3am) at the self service machines.

Stayed in the mix dorm. The room is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Security should be quite good because you need to verify your card key on the lift. Bus stop is just 2 minutes away but it takes about 15 minutes to the city center. Kitchen is well-equipped.

This hotel with a hostel atmosphere is really modern, clean and in a decent area. The downstairs common area had a great atmosphere because it was not just for young travellers in big groups, but for all ages and sole travellers. A basic breakfast is an option which is decent, and there's a kitchen in which to cook but it gets really crowded at peak dinner times - so get in early or prepare to eat late! Would definitely stay here again.

The design of the hotel was really bad.
Perhaps, I had no luck having a room which was far away from the lift.
I never had such an experience before that I had to walk quite a long while from the lift to the room. Incredible!

Hotel staff was not friendly.

The location was too far from the city center. Not many restaurants and shops nearby.

And bus tickets were very expensive.

Nevertheless, the price was competitive when compared with other hotels in Salzburg.
