Just can't understand why this gem of a restaurant does not figure higher in the Salzburg list. We stopped here for lunch on a very rainy day and were instantly cheered by the welcoming warmth of the staff and the general ambience of this wonderful old building. We settled for a light lunch of meat or salmon with rosti and were quite overwhelmed by the glorious platter which arrived. The choice of the Stiegelbrau beers was another highlight. We could have remained in this atmospheric restaurant for many hours!
A self service cafe is also available and the rest rooms are scrupulously clean and tiled in colours to match the emblem of the brewery. Who could ask for any more?
