It's not often you get to go to a restaurant which is all you expect and more. We stayed at the Mozart Hotel (excellent and reviewed by me on Trip Advisor) and were recommended this restaurant. With nothing to lose in a new town we went there - only about 300-400 metres from the hotel and walked into what could have been a movie set for old Austria; all old wood, antlers on the wall and mien host in lederhosen. It should have been a tourist trap but it wasn't. The place was full of locals and it looked like we were the only tourists. We went in mid January, outside it was snowing and cold but inside it was cosy, friendly, warm and the food smelt wonderful. The menu was not large but it had good choice and the prices were cheap both for the food and the wines and beers. The waiter spoke perfect English and advised on food and drink without trying to push expensive items. Everything here was top quality and we left feeling full and that we had had real value in a lovely atmosphere. Top recommendation, not to be missed.
