“Well located, decent price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Nice hotel, nice Room with view (And noise) from train station. Breakfast is expensive (16 Euros) but very good. Hotel decent priced and location right in the city center. Good for pleasure not so much for business traveler.

Right beside the railway satation this hotel has a large free parking, if you find it inside the Forum1 Shopping Center's parking lot.
Clean, but relatively small rooms, with a very nice bathroom. No fridge, no minibar in the room, yet a bottle of water is offered (quite warm). How unlucky I am that I don't drink sparkling water!

For Salzburg visitors, to go to the city center, it's a minimum 15 minutes walk, so for this purpose, it is not the best choice.

Room Tip: Don't be affraid of the railway station side, it is not noisy at all!

The hotel is in a good location close to a mall, train station, restaurants and attractions. Rooms are nice and clean.

Booked twin beds 6 months ago, on arrival was given a double, when I questioned the front desk of my request was told they dont have twin beds ? One doona for both of us, had to request another doona. No fridge in rooms or coffee facilities, I required fridge for medication. Great location, clean and good breakfast, but very small bed and rooms..

Spent one night recently at the new Ramada in Salzburg. Rooms modern in Ramada style. Not large rooms and TWO single beds not a genuine queen or king.

+ Location is good - right next to railway station. 15-20 min walk to old Town.
+ Rooms are clean
+ Front desk staff are friendly and helpful

- Rooms are small and bathroom is not well appointed (small towels, no individual toiletries etc)
- Breakfast is expensive and not that good (16 euro per person)

There is plenty of choice in Salzburg so choose the Ramada for convenience and predictability.

We chose the hotel as we were arriving by train and it is a minute from the station and also a minute from the bus station. We found the buses great and easy to use and very cheap 13 euro for 7days unlimited transport.

The hotel was spotless and the staff could not do enough for you especially the receptionist called Teresa. The breakfast was on the 6th floor and had super views of the mountains.

Breakfast had a good variety and you could ask for a fresh omelet cooked with your chosen ingredients which was fab. I see one guest review complained it was salty well mine wasnt but if you don't want salt just say so !!

The bedroom was well equipped and had a lovely big shower.

Despite its location the hotel is very quiet at night and at no time did we hear traffic etc.
Will definitely come back to this beautiful city and stay at the Ramada.

The hotel is right beside both the main railway station and main bus station. It also has a very good shopping Mall and large grocery store attached. It is an easy 20 minute walk ( with detour to walk through the Mirabelle Gardens) to the edge of the old town and an 8 minute bus journey price 2.10 euro. There are a few drunks in a square to the right and front of the hotel but you never feel menaced in this charming city. There isn't a decent restaurant around but there is a MacDonalds and Burger King within 50 yards. Eat in the Old Town.
The hotel receptionists are friendly and helpful, they book tours and give helpful advise. Wifi is free in all areas including rooms but actually getting connected is hit and miss, it works ...sometimes.
The rooms are of a good size for European hotels, clean, good bathroom, comfortable beds and flat screen TVs with several English channels. Book with breakfast included, it's worth it. They have the usual cold cuts, boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon ( but not as we know it) and hash browns. They also cook a freshly prepared omelette if you ask. The sign for it is in German but it is delicious if you ask for it. Our waitress didn't look particularly happy but I can live with that given the quality of the dish. The restaurant is on the 6th floor and the views of the surrounding mountains are stupendous.
This is fine for a few days but not for a romantic magic trip. It ticks all the boxes if you just want to see the sights.
Do the Sound of Music Tour, Gary, our guide was hilarious and the four hour trip was worth the money. The Old Town is small enough to walk around in a few days. The Horse Carriage jaunt was 40 euro and lasted 20 minutes, not worth it.
A beautiful city but honestly two days will do it.

Room Tip: Stay on the fifth floor, mountain views fantastic.
