“Chaos”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Although I used to live in Graz I had never gone there so recently went for lunch and ordered one of the set menus. The second course came but not the starter. After complaining I was offered a free coffee instead plus a small amount off the price (the menu price, not the price of what I actually had). When the bill came they had charged me for two drinks. The poor waitress who had to deal with it was very nice and apologetic and I think quite embarrassed and exasperated at the continuous errors her colleagues had caused. The waiter who had caused the mess seemed more interested in talking to someone who seemed like a businessman friend of his sitting at the next table.

“What a pleasant surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012 via mobile

I went in a bit late in the evening after I checked in a nearby hotel
From the facade, it looked like a pub, but once inside, it looked very cozy
I was greeted by a couple of young waitresses who helped me with the menu. English menu is avalable.
The food I ordered was lite, and flavorful (soup & carpaccio). They have traditional fare such as schnitzel as well. The wine list was quite large. Also avalable by the glass

“Very good food and atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2011

Very good Steriesche quisine. Waiters knowledgeable, good wine list featuring heavily on Austrian wines and lovely setting. Although we had an excellent table (there were three of us) I would make sure they do not put you at the little bar beside the entrance door. That's just trying to cram in more customers.

“Fine Styrian Cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2011

This is a lovely, cosy, traditional Austrian restaurant that is well above the average. The waiters are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food is beautifully presented. We started with an 'amuse bouche' of cold rare venison slices with a wild berry confit, delicious. An hors d'oeuvre of fillet of char with crayfish, also delicious but on the small side! Entre of Calves liver, again well cooked, delicate. Rounded off with a fine selection of Styrian cheeses. The best thing about this restaurant, however, is the cellar. The wines are superb. We had an Austrian Pinot Noir (Heinrich 2004 from Neusiedlersee), that would give some famous Burgundys a run for their money. The Sommelier is helpful and enthusiastic.
