Due to the fact that it seemed that all known Heuriger in Klosterneuburg were full, we ended up (in a positive way) at Kerbl. This is a typical family run business, father is serving out the food, mother greets the guests and provides food/wine delivery from the back, son and daughter are serving the guests. One has to get up and go to the bar to choose from the wide selection of hot or cold food. Their wine is home grown and has earned some prizes so far each year in the region’s wine festivals. You can buy it by the bottle as well as for take away (which is a bit cheaper then). They have a fantastic guest garden, where you can sit underneath a nut tree or various Oleander bushes. The audience is very pleasant and majority of them are locals.
In case the weather is nott nice, you can also sit inside which can get full and stuffy very fast, however the atmosphere is great.
