“Small but Perfectly Formed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

A lovely peaceful place to escape the bustle of Monaco's busy streets for half an hour or so. The kids will love the large Coy Carp in the ponds.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Hidden little gem right on the seafront. Stumbled over the gardens accidently but spent a long time in there, so tranquil and beautiful.

“Nice to stroll through”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Along a flat area coming back towards the main area from the beach area and on the opposite side from the museum. Fairly small, but pretty Japanese garden with customary picturesque red bridge and koi carp. Open until dust. No entrance charge.

“Don't Worry That it's Not in Japan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

This garden is as authentic as you can get. Trust me, my wife lived in Japan. It is close to downtown Monte Carlo wherever that is. You can catch the bus to get there if you have trouble walking. There is an abundance of greenskeeper on duty ensuring all is, as the Japanese would say "ichiban." Unlike venues like Sea World and Disneyland, there are no restaurants therefore you should have a meal and a drink before you visit. Then you can just relax, wander around and enjoy the ambience. We were there in February but I believe it is even more magnificent in the warmer months. One warning, if you have kids, keep them on a tight leash, they could finish up with the fishes.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

It is a wonderful and very easy walk up and down the gardens. We went down to the caves with a 2 1/2 year old. Loved seeing it but would not recommend with kids. Too slippery at times. Three hundred steps down. Loved the gardens though.
