It goes without saying that Monaco is expensive! This hotel is in the centre of things - but somehow you can still "get away". There are a number of rooms overlooking the sea and it is interesting watching the yachts going into and leaving the port.
There is also a delightful rooftop swimming pool (and the area turns into a night-club in Summer).
Nobu is on the premises and there is also a restaurant on the top floor with excellent breakfasts and where the food is generally very good. The staff all make an effort and are in general very pleasant.
My wife and daughter used the spa facilities, which were apparently very good.
The hotel lobby is diappointing and resembles an airport

stayed with a biz conference. hotel service very helpful. our room had nice view of sea and hotel itself was quite nice though not as luxurious as i would have expected given the locale. roof top view from pool was amazing although service was slow. massage therapist i had was excellent though spa itself below expectation vs the fairmont in banff canada.

Great experience at Hotel Fairmont Monte Carlo it's recomendable to everyone. Excellent location, beautiful grounds, Memorable views of the City and ocean, Defenitily a place to visit and stay. Thank you

We stayed at the fairmont monte in april and as a FPC premier member, We were treated very bad and we were left unsatisfied to the point of never staying there again but In may my wife's sister decided to come to see us in monte carlo and I decided to give Fairmont another shot and I went to the Director of rooms who is a super person, he welcomed us with a open arms and made everything possible for my wife and her sister to enjoy the stay and redeemed Fairmont in our eyes!!!

If you disappointed at something in the hotel, contacts the Fairmont Managers and they will be helpful, the people who work they are just clerks they cant help so contacts the Managers and they will fix everything for us stay.

Big thanks to the Jean-Francois Jourdan and the Fairmont team.

MC is expensive but Fairmont is over the top with a surcharge bonanza! Starting with 15 Euro ($23.50 CDN) outside bottle "corkage fees" charged for ANY bottle that you bring into your room and their cleaning staff finds in the trash. A real highlight is the overflowing hallway garbage cans from people avoiding the charge for outside bottle fees. Watch from your balcony as other guests throw bottles into the courtyard to avoid the fee. Fairmont Corkage Fee Bottle toss. Maybe a new Olympic sport? Makes the property look great too! Watch out for the "restocking fee" for your fridge if you remove their products to the top of the fridge and put something unacceptable like insulin in the fridge instead. 25 Euro ($39.25 CDN) fee for that.Fortunately, front desk staff are wonderful and understand the cash grab game that management wants them to enforce and they will remove from your bill. It's a shame that it was a 20 minute wait on a daily basis to correct the bill at the front desk. Don't try to book online with a family with young children. Maximum room capacity is 3 people. 85 Euro ($133 CDN) surcharge per night if you want your 3 year old and 5 year old to stay with Mom and Dad. Great for families if you don't mind your 5 year old having to get her own room. Again, front desk understand this car wreck of a policy but it shouldn't be a policy to begin with. Oh, if you want to feed your family at the Fairmont FMC. Be sure to bring some cash. The cheapest meal off the kids room service menu for a small bowl of Spaghetti is a cool 16 Euros ($25 CDN) or a small glass of apple juice for 6.7 Euros ($10.83 CDN)

Fairmont is a wonderful brand and we have always enjoyed the Fairmont Orchid, Montreux Palace and even the Royal York. However, the Monte Carlo should be kicked out of the brand. Shame on Fairmont for allowing Monte Carlo to have such cash grab policies under their respected Fairmont brand

We've just returned from staying at the Fairmont this weekend. Our family had a two night break here as we were out in Monaco visiting friends.

Great hotel, fantastic location, staff very friendly and happy to attend to your needs. Check in/out very good. We didn't spend a great deal of time in the hotel but the room was spacious enough for us. I did have a raised eyebrow moment at the mini-bar prices!

Our first evening the children were hungry and so ate in the bar next to Nobu. The staff were very good with the children. We sat there people watching for sometime and sampled a lovely cocktail too.

Walked down to the beach front for breakfast which is a nice walk.

A hotel on the most famous hairpin bend in the world........we'll definitely be back!

We were in Monte Carlo for four wonderful days. However the Fairmont does not live up to expectations. Firstly, it needs a new look. Then the check in was so slow, the people at the concierge desk were not friendly and their information not great. The food was very mediocre! I have to compliment the housekeeping staff who were excellent, especially Stella who always had a smile on her face and was so keen to make our stay pleasant. Also the people in the business center were absolutely lovely and very efficient.
