This hotel is rated as 4-star but I'm not sure on what basis. Just back from a week at the hotel and it was not agood experience. Food was at best lukewarm and the quality was very poor, bedlinen was a bit grimy, staff were rude and the heat was overpowering and made the stay extremely uncomfortable. The location is very good with easy access to the gondola and the apres-ski. Showers were nice and hot. I have stayed in better 3-stars.

The quality/price of this hotel is very correct! Rooms are allright, location is good just a short walk to the lifts, staff is very friendly. The restaurant is too small and guests have to wait for a free table.

Room Tip: Take your shower Asap otherwise the water will BE cold

Very nice hotel great location. Downsides were the heat in the rooms, too hot would wake up with headache every morning, tried leaving window open but snow found its way in. Tv very dated and only one English speaking channel CNN. Ski lockers were at the in underground car park very tricky to negotiate in ski boots and step ramp, could not go through reception with skis. Overall very good hotel great value and brilliant housekeeping.

Stayed with friends on a 5-day break end January. Hotel location good for apres ski and the gondolas. Deposit for lockers required at hotel and only a 5 minute walk to the lifts. Rooms were extremely warm, even when we turned off the radiators. Not much noise as we were in two facing rooms on the top floor. Not bad selection of food, although agree with some other reviews it could have been warmer, best to warm your beans in the microwave, then get a fresh omlette made. Drinks prices and mini-bar charges were reasonable. All of the staff were great, apart from one let down - watch out for ROSA. We were only told on the last day you needed the ticket which held your room key on arrival with you when you went into the dining room. We had breakfast and evening meal for 3 days prior with no hassle. We ended up in a heated discussion with ROSA who was adamant we were not allowed in to eat. Very unprofessional - felt quite sorry for the rest of her staff, quite embarrassing. Had to clear the situation with the Reception staff (who were clearly as impressed as we were ! they must be used to her). That woman needs to get some manners. That was the only downside really. Would definitely stay there again - and try to request the same rooms (601/602).

Great value but 3star more realistic. Perfect location for lifts & après ski. Noisy as previously noted but beds comfy. Slept well with earplugs...not rocket science ! Food good but lukewarm if not chose 2 choices from grill. Should be simple to keep buffet warm but they dont seem to think important. Ate out every other night and affordable given price for this hotel. Staff pleasant and helpful. Spa adequate if avoid busy times.
Our second visit and would return but b&b or room only. Plenty eating places nearby.
Recommend Harp or Aspen for après ski & Merlot for great food.

Travelled as a group of 18, 9 rooms all on the same floor, the 4th.
Rooms clean and large, velux roof window took some getting used to, if had snowed which it diid all week whilst we were there when you open window snow would fall in..Can't understand why some people moan about the heat in the rooms, there is a termostate on the radiator.! Shower was very powerful and hot, the only problem was it flooded the bathroom floor as shower curtain not big enough. Free w-ifi was a nice touch. Ski locker room a good size as well, 20 euro deposit for padlock which was returned at the end of the week.
Food was ok could have been warmer some nights, plenty of choice.
Did not use the spa but those who did enjoyed it.
Ideal location near to everything, town is quite small compared to Pas where we have stayed many times in the past, prefer Soldeu.
Soldeu gives you great access to the ski slopes, better than Pas, plus more options of where to ski. Suffered some serious snow fall whilst there, only lost one days sking as whiteout.
Will be back next year.

Room Tip: Had a high floor room not problem on the tront with noise.

Staff all very friendly and helpful. However the hotel let them down. Room was in need of update. Although we had a mini kitchen, there were no facilities to make tea or coffee which at the end of the day would have been good. Towels in bathroom were very small, not much larger than a hand towel. Spa facilities, poor. Jacuzzi was cold and one was not working. Food was poor, on most occasions luke warm. At night room was very noisy from bars directly below, this lasted to at least 2am. Apart from that Soldeu as a ski resort is excellent.

Room Tip: Not sure if there are good rooms as there are bars and night clubs at rear and front of hotel. Our r...
