This restaurant caught us by surprise...It's somewhat unremarkable exterior belies the trip back in time to an mountain old country inn once you walk through the door. Rough-hewn wood beams support the low ceiling, rock & plaster walls, heavy wooden sideboards, & the huge wood-burning central fireplace/roasting kitchen all add up to a cozy and homey [but elegant: white linen, crystal & silver-service] atmosphere. The cuisine is traditional Andorran mountain fare; lots of meat dishes [but they have excellent trout too], grilled or roasted in the massive fireplace that is the "center stage" of the first floor dining room. All of the meals we ordered were outstanding, as were the desserts. They have a very good wine selection also. The price is in the upper range, but well worth the meal, the "old-school" service and the overall experience.
