“October 2012”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

The location is superb, right on the beach , just what we exopected. The room in the new wing was lovely and clean with a beautiful sea view. Would have benefitted from a light on the balcony. The food in the restaurant was poor. Scrambled egg was burnt every day. We only ate one evening meal and were disappoined at the quality. Would recommend eating at one of the tavernas in Polis.

Jane and Jane , West Yorkshire.

Room Tip: choose a first floor room in the new wing to enjoy the wonderful views.

“Exceeded expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

The setting of the hotel is just wonderful. Tucked away on the north west coast of Cyprus, it's an oasis of calm and tranquility with the beach on its doorstep. For a 3 star hotel, it is a fantastic deal. The decor od the rooms might well be a little dated, the facilities are just right on the money and nothing is too little or too much for the staff.

The breakfast (included) is just a cornucopia of locally sourced produce by the hotel itself. If you walk to the west of the beach, you will find a herd of goats, hens, rabbits and the fields and orchards charged with all the food that was served. We have had the best time here during our week and we cannot recommend the place enough if you like tranquility.

Room Tip: Choose a first floor bedroom to take advantage of the seaview and avoid prying eyes although we had...

“A prime location, a nice room with sea view, and an excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

We spent a few nights end of October in the (only) suite of the hotel, with our little son. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel benefits of a prime location. Just next to the sea, so that it is very easy to have a swim in the sea, anytime. The beach is very nice: A mix of sand and small stones, like on all beaches in the area (turtles are used to lay eggs on this beach). There is also a pool but we didn't use it. The room was very good, in the new wing of the hotel, with a beautiful view over the sea. It seems that most of the rooms have a sea view. The room never got too hot, as it faced North (the sea being north of the hotel). The service was excellent. The breakfast looked not fantastic at first sight. But it actually was composed of some products of good quality, many of them being traditional, organic, and produced by the hotel that owns land with olive trees, fruits trees, and is growing some vegetables... We enjoyed it. We actually took back home some delicious orange marmelade produced and sold by the hotel. We also had one lunch made of excellent salads. And we had two evening meals with buffet of local dishes of very good quality. A few less positive points: you will definitely need a car as the hotel is a little bit outside Polis and the roads are not very nice to be walked (especially at night). There are only very few games for kids. The pool seemed quite cold and doesn't seem to have a heating system. Also, we noticed a few times a not so nice smell around the hotel. Nothing very serious, though. Overall we recommend the place and enjoyed a lot our stay there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the renovated wing of the hotel.

“A place for peace & quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel and will most certainly return. If you are looking for a place to relax and chill out then this is it.
Although the hotel is slightly dated the view from the hotel and the tranquillity more than makes up for it. We stayed on a B&B basis and opted for a sea view room which is highly recommended. The breakfast was superb with a lot of the hotels home produced food, there was plenty of selection and their own marmalades were very good, and to sit out and eat on the patio area overlooking the sea was heavenly.
The hotel provides evening meals if required although we decided to try the restaurants in Polis town which we found very good, it is approximately 20 mins walk, if you are walking into town at night then a torch is a must as many parts of the roads near the hotel are unlit and no pavements.
The beach is literally 100 mts away at the end of the hotels lawned area, if you intend to go into the sea it is worth taking rubber shoes as the beach is pebbles and the sea has large stones in areas.
The reception staffs were very helpful with information regarding Polis and the surrounding areas; there is also free Wi Fi available in the reception area.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are well worth the extra, try to get a 1st floor one

“Nice hotel right on the beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Nice hotel located right on the beach in a residential area of Polis. The hotel mis somewhat faded and reminded me of a 1980's resort. Nevertheless it gives you a warm family feeling which is rare in this type of resorts. The food at the main dining room was excellent. Breakfast is rich with huge selection. Dinner buffet was excellent. Front desk staff and menagement was helpful, nice and welcoming. Rooms are very spacious and have patios or balconies. The grounds and beach area are beautiful. Only thing was the beds which are older and not so comfortable. Highly recommended for those who want a relaxing vecation on the beach, but away from the crowds.
