“Perfect base for beach and country walking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

If you like exploring quiet, beautiful countryside and coastline, combined with the facilities of a resort apartment complex, this is the ideal place. Situated in a small, traditional village a couple of miles from the north-west coast of Cyprus, this friendly and well-run business is the perfect base. The apartments are spacious, simply but comfortably furnished and very clean. The grounds are attractively landscaped and at the centre of everything is a lovely pool area where you're welcome to have breakfast and generally relax. English tourists are welcome and muesli and a very acceptable "full English" is offered alongside more typical Cypriot fare.

Best of all are the staff - they seem to genuinely enjoy making guests feel welcome and relaxed, and nothing is too much trouble. We had a late flight from Paphos and really appreciated being able to stay in our apartment until late afternoon at no extra cost. Such personal friendliness and helpfulness is typical of this very pleasant place to stay.

We have taken holidays in Cyprus about 18 times now since our first visit in 1984.
During that time we have stayed at the Tavros apartments on about 12 occasions and have always found the owners and staff to offer the usually splendid Cypriot hospitality. They are welcoming and very keen to ensure that your stay with them is relaxing, they are always there to help with any advice on the local places to visit and places to eat. The location is set in a traditional Cypriot village with a couple of taverna,s within a short walk, it,s ideally suited to adults who want a tranquil and peacefully holiday.

Room Tip: The apartments are simple, clean and spacious with pleasant views into the pretty gardens and pool...

We stayed at the Tavros Apartments during the first two weeks of September 2012. The accommodation was a spacious and comfortable apartment with a simple kitchen and both main rooms were air conditioned. There was also a large balcony with lovely views of the sea and inland.
The apartments are ideally situated for exploring the Akamas Peninsula especially if you have your own transportation (recommended), and the beach is only a 5 minute drive away.
The Tavros family and the other members of staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.
***RECOMMENDED***

Room Tip: First floor apartments have nicer balconies / views.

We have just had a perfect long weekend stay at the family run Tavros Hotel appts - Our second stay at this establishment. The friendly and relaxed welcome we received on our arrival continued throughout our stay. Nothing seemed to much trouble for the owners and staff a like. Our apartment was well appointed and immaculate; cleaned daily. The apartment blocks are set around a sizable pool with sun loungers and umbrellas; the established garden with typical Mediterranean plants and trees adds to the stress free atmosphere. Breakfast was an easy going affair and very good value for Euros 5. The hotel was within easy reach of the town; walking distance to local tavernas and a short drive from breath taking views and sandy beaches. We look forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: First floor apartments have large balconies and breath taking views.

Stayed here for a week in August and were completely bowled over by the experience. Friendly and knowledgeable owner and lovely staff; relaxed atmosphere; beautiful apartment which was absolutely immaculate; established garden which was a delight to look at while floating around the sizeable pool. Wonderful views from balcony.
Pool and apartment cleaned daily; decent towels and drying rack on the balcony. Kitchen well equipped though we didn't use it much because...
...EXCELLENT food available locally (within 5 minutes walk) and many other recommendations given by staff for eating in Polis and Latchi .I have travelled a lot and this is one of the best weeks of my life for eating good local cuisine!
We would not have taken our teenage children due to their penchant for loud night life, but it was perfect for a totally relaxing holiday and other people were clearly taking advantage of all the local sports, sailing, snorkelling etc. You definitely need a car to open up lots of sightseeing opportunities.
We will be going back...

We stayed at the Tavros Apartments in July/Aug 2012. First visit - but first of many I hope. We can't wait to go back. The welcome was warm and the whole experience outstanding. The accommodation was well equipped and the facilities well presented. Breakfast is excellent and although we were self catering we treated ourselves to the remarkablly good value meal. The charming Tavros is on site to make sure that the place which bears his name is all it should be. Although the complex was full during our stay we never felt it was crowded. The village has some lovely tavernas and a surprisingly good shop. (don't be fooled by outward appearance!)

Room Tip: Upper floors have more breeze on humid days.
