“Nice winter holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

The hotel is very pleasant so we returned home full of good memories of our 7 days winter break. Stayed there 24.02.2013-03.03.2013. The temperature was +19 +21 in the day and +9 +15 at night. The hotel is new, quite worth 4* though there were several complaints. But the price was reasonable.

Pluses:
- hotel's staff is very friendly;
- very good clean room (we booked just “Standard room inland view” and got №0202, which is located on the ground floor of the left side of the left wing). Room view was the hotel nearby (Venus) and partly at the sea. We had only one room (2 beds, LCD TV, radiophone (we got it only on the 5th day of our stay), ironing board, steam-iron, safe (free of charge), accessories for shower, white towels, built-in air-conditioner worked for cooling and heating – in our room it worked only for heating, perhaps, due to the winter season). Ground-floor terrace with a table and 2 chairs. It was surrounded by green plants so it brought great feelings of being in a small garden. This part of the hotel had sun withing all the day, the right side, on the contrary, was always in the shade (it should be distressing for winter/spring holiday I guess). The right side of the right wing overlooks the wasteland and construction project. It was quite warm in our room, though we didn't use heating. All 4 pillows were big that could be uncomfortable for somebody;
- huge variety of tasty food for breakfasts and dinners. We even didn't have lunches there. So BB should be enough for those who likes to sit and relax in the evening hours in bars/pubs or restaurants/tavernas;
- tennis court, sauna, Jacuzzi, gym (free of charge), bikes rent;
- the sea is clean and beautiful! But it is not the right place for swimming at all. You may go (2 min) to the small sandy beach of the Venus hotel. In winter it is good to swim in the indoor pool, temperature of water is optimal.
- right at front of the hotel there are bus-stop (NeoPaphos harbour is about 5-7 min, 1 Euro, or 3 Euro for the all-day-ticket) and supermarket Lidl. If you are brave to walk to the harbour, it takes about 50 min;
- Tombs of the kings open-air museum (1.7 Euro) is in 10 min by walk;
- the hotel offers free transfer to/from the Paphos' airport;
- there is roof terrace bar in the hotel with the nice view (it doesn't work in February though we could go upstairs just to have a look and to take pictures);
- hotel's guests are mostly from England and Cyprus, less - from Russia and Germany. Cypriots and russians are mostly young couples/families, and english and germans are mostly pensioners.

Minuses:
- low speed Internet and you have to pay for it (2 Euro for one day and 5 Euro for 3 days).
- noise insulation is terrible. You will hear all the heels steps, children or loud voices of the next room;
- there was no cooler in our room;
- there is no normal beach – should be useful information for those who goes there for swimming.

Thus, the hotel is very good and price is great for such services, location is perfect for those who like to relax, especially in spring or winter.

Room Tip: Standard room inland view can be good too

We stayed there in June 2012 for three nights in a one bedroom executive sea view suite. Amazing!!! The suite was huge, very comfortable and the terrace was great with our own hot tub, wow factor or what? The hotel is fabulous. All the staff were polite and helpful. Our suite was kept lovely and clean with maid service every day. Food was very good and the breakfast buffet set you up for the day, plenty of choice too. What more can I say there wasn't a downside or anything negative to say so much so we have booked to return this year again for 7days, can't wait. We stayed in suite 0191 would totally recommend it you won't be dissappointed!!!!

I had my honeymoon here, it was a great place to stay. The hotel is recently built and very smart. Breakfast is superb, I had an omelette made every morning for me by the chief available. Indoor and outdoor pool was very nice. Sandy beach is two minutes walk, waves were a lot of fun. Town centre is short bus ride. There's plenty to do in paphos. Hotel is very very good, would go there again, for sure.

We have just returned from 3 weeks in this hotel. Found it most enjoyable. Our room had a full kitchen with all appliances and everything you would need. We had 1 bedroom with a large bathroom and a second shower room. As we were in a room with no neighbours we found it very quiet and comfortable. Although we faced the front of the hotel, I think this made it even quieter, I imagine the pool facing rooms could be a bit noisier. We were on B & B and found the food excellent, easily comparable to Cunard breakfasts! The hotel is set in a quiet location so ideal if you don"t like noisy nightlife, although there are a couple of bars within walking distance of the hotel. D.T."s do a good meal at a reasonable price, but is very English!!

We found all the staff in the hotel very friendly, everywhere is kept spotless.

One mistake we made was not checking the school holiday dates- half term transformed a lovely relaxing time into something of a holiday camp!!

Would definately return to this hotel again (after checking school holiday dates!)

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel are quieter, but no sea or pool view. The ground floor rooms are no...

We have just returned from a half-term break and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is located within a short bus journey to Paphos harbour front where you are more likely to find some authentic Cyprus cuisine. The Lidl across the road is handy to stock up on essentials and fresh bread and croissants are baked daily.
We stayed in a superior sea-view suite on the north side of the hotel - so no sun but that was not an issue for us. The building site in front of us did not bother us as the ground moving work starts at 8am - ish and is not intrusive. In a year or so's time the view from the north side of the hotel will be more obstructed with the new development.
As the other reviewers have mentioned the rooms are well equipped and the service is excellent. Beware the very hard mattresses - this is why I marked the sleep quality down.
We had breakfast in the restaurant on our first morning there and the choice and quality is superb - even though we turned up at the latest for breakfast everything was well stocked and still freshly replenished.
The in-door pool area and changing rooms are very clean. Another reviewer mentioned dirty areas around the pool and that might be the rust marks appearing through the concrete pillars but there are no hygiene issues at all.
I recommend hiring a car and getting around the island to see the sights. There are some great family run tavernas and Cypriot restaurants who provide wonderful food and a warm welcome.
I recommend this resort as a winter break but not sure how it would be in the peak season.

Friendly staff, ready to serve customers.
Rooms are clean, beautiful with all the necessary.
The food was average. Very few options, almost tasteless not appropriate for such hotel.
Very good location.

Room Tip: Do not choose H/B or F/B. It does not worth it. The food does not say much.

We stayed for a weekend at this hotel on a B/B basis, in a superior sea-view room which was very spacious and modern with excellent views. The noise, though, from the corridor and other rooms was so intense (no soundproofing at all!) that we had to wake up at 7 in the morning and we couldn't contact the reception as there was no telephone device in our room. Moreover, restaurant food at dinner was unacceptable and dissapointing, so after having dinner there, we went to a restaurant for a proper and more descent food.
