“Tourist trap”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

This too, we were told, was just a ploy to get tourists to visit. I like to think, however, that there is more to it than a water source in a cave.

“disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Undertook a good trek to get there and was a little disappointed especially as one of the locals informed us that it was a site made up just for the tourists Not sure how true this sentiment was but, when in Paphos it would be a shame not to see the sight.

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Place is for attracting tourists. Legends say that Aphrodite emerged here from the sea. Just for stop and quick photo, nothing more.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

This is a charming part of Cyprus the beach and waters around the rock are mythical its got a feel to it only explained if you have experienced it. You must make the effort and go down to the beach there and not as some do just take photograph's from the top. Spend a little time here this is the real Cyprus experience.

“Absolutely amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

We decided this beach to by our "goodbye" to Cyprus after some years and we didn't regret it. At first I really like the story of Aphrodite foam-arisen in this beach (in one of the myth's versions). It is interesting to realize that this beach is foamy most of the times which of course makes sense and justifies the myth. What you see when you approach the beach is spectacular. However, there seems to be a nasty tradition to band tapes or paper in bushes on the beach that we found really ugly. The sea was actually unexpecetdly cold but if you decide to enter you will realize that it is not cold afterall and that you can spend much time within the sea. The scenery is just amazing and ideal for pictures, especially in the afternoon. Take lots of photos, you will rememeber me when you arrive home.
