its on the old road a couple pf miles past the airport turn off, there is a cafe on the right pull in here then there is a tunnel going under the road, the best time to visit is when there is a very strong wind. realy its just a group of rocks siting out of the sea on a windy day if you like taken photos you can get some good effects.

“This is one of the most scenic spots on the island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

If you travel the coast road between Kourion and Paphos you'll drive past Petra tou Romiou (also known as Aphrodite's Rock). This is a pretty pebble beach with the famous rocks. Legend has it that this is the place where Aphrodite first emerged from the sea. Park in the car park by the little cafe on the opposite side of the road from the sea and then walk down the steps to the tunnel underneath the road to cross safely to the beach.

The best time to visit Petra tou Romiou is out of season - February or March are great. At this time of year there are barely any tourists and you get to see the stunning coastline at its best.

Make sure you stop in the car parks on the top of the hill just past Petra tou Romiou for stunning views down over the beach and the gorgeous coastline.

“It is believable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Legend has it that the Goddess of Love and Beauty was born here. The centre of Aphrodite worship isn't far from here. It is not so much the rocks that make the place feel like you've gone back in time, but a feeling of something magical as you walk along the path and down the steps to the beach.

“Cool Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I love this area, you can park up and go down to the little beach. In the summer its a good place to swim around the rock, or you can just chill on the beach and enjoy the stunning view
