“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

Fabrica Hill is across the street from Kings of Avenue Mall and as you looked from distance it looks like there is nothing to visit on this hill, but it's not true: the hill is part of the Nea Paphos (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and here you can find the Agia Solomoni Catacombs (on the road to the Harbour), one ancient mosaic (on the top of the hill) and one ancient amphiteatre. The paths are almost inexistent, so don't wear flip-flops because there are a lot of stones and plants that can harm you. It's a free attraction and worth a visit if you're in Paphos.

“Roman & Greek Ruins/Mosaics - Don't Forget To Visit This Site - Its Free”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

OK - Opposite the Kings Avenue Mall - there is what initially appears to be unused land - don't be fooled - its an UNESCO World Heritage Site - it has Roman and Greek remains visible - with the world's largest surviving villa pebble floor mosaic ...

Its free - just walk in one of the entrances - go up the hill and wander around - you will soon work out what there is to see.

If you stand at the top of the hill (the Apollo) facing seaward and then look right - you clearly see the Lighthouse and Odeon area of the Kato Paphos Archaeological Park and immediately recognise its just another part of the same complex - just not been built on! YOU can see how the road down to the harbour has split the site into two ..

If you went to the Archaelogical Park to see the mosaics - then this is a must too - especally since it is free and the views down to the harbour are superb.

Take a camera and don't wear flipflops - the grass burrs are really spikey!
And when youre finished - pop over the road to the Mall and have a cold drink or a snack

Oh yes and it has excellent views of the Agioi Anargyroi Church too - well worth a look in its own right
