First impressions: not bad, then you hit your accommodation: Shabby - old fashioned very basic. some would say "rustic" we would say "absymal". Tiny bathroom - shower head holder hanging off the wall, hairdryer holder hanging off the wall. These 2 items reported and were attended to. Shutters on balcony filthy - and great lumps out of them looked as if been chewed by a dog - no proper lock on balcony door just an "intruder" chain the type you would have on your front door. Not sure rooms were cleaned everyday. Left wet towels in bath still there when we returned late afternoon - another instance we usually take a drink of water to bed - any water left in glass was just left in room never emptied and glass not washed unless we did ourselves - only way you would know anyone had been in room was bed was made! We booked twin room - allocated double very uncomfortable didn't sleep well for 10 days. We booked half board. 6 nights out of 10 we ate out. One evening went down to dinner the lamb dish was gravy and bones, deserts boring - you had to be in the dining room dead on 7pm to get anything. Small pool-bar only open between 11am and 4pm and attendant often not immediately to hand. Pool area not very clean and the pool itself dirty -broken tiling on the steps leading into the pool and in the 10 days we were there we only saw it cleaned once. Sun terrace dirty, for 2 days rubbish left uncleared - small tables beside sunbeds dirty - the general cleanliness of place I reported to holiday representative and was told "well you are in middle of the town" - it's a hotel for goodness sake I wouldn't expect visitors to my home to have cause to complain about the cleanlness - have they no pride.
Breakfast - 1st morning one of the tea machines was not working - another day no teaspoons, breakfast was from 7-9.30 we could hear them rattling around setting up at 6am so why were things missing - poor workmanship starts at the top - perhaps someone should take a "hotel managment course" - staff did not seem happy. - fruit on offer at breakfast was just small pieces of apple or orange and "tinned" fruit salad. Could go on but I think there is enough content to make people think twice before booking this particular hotel, we will be contacting the travel company direct to with similar review.
