Just returned from a fabulous holiday to the Aphrodite Hills. We decided to upgrade to a club room which has the benefits of separate lounge for breakfast, free coffee and soft drinks all day, yummy cakes at tea time and free alcoholic drinks and canapes between 6pm and 8pm. Well worth the extra cost. So lovely to be able to go and have a drink when we wanted and our 12 year old son loved the free internet access in the lounge whilst we had another cappuccino.

We also splurged on a room with a private pool. A big extra cost but one I'd definitely consider again as it was heated, unlike the main hotel pool which was freezing. On one day the temperature seemed to drop a bit so we asked the pool man to turn it up again to tepid bath temperature and it was heavenly.

The food in the buffet restaurant was the best I have tasted for this style of dining: delicious dishes and plenty of variety.

The room was exceptionally clean, modern but not clinical and with beautiful furnishings.

One of the best holidays we've ever had.

“Not for Families”

We stayed in a villa with the children and my parents in the hotel. First of all the location is NOT in pafos (same distance from pafos as from Limassol). You are in the middle of nowhere and there is nowhere to go with the children. There is no beach. It si miles awya and very complicatied to arrange going there and back. And when you get there is full of big rough pebbles. The villa we got was very badly maintained. A lot of the things were c=not available for us (e.g. satellite television) and many items/furiture worn out. The distance from the villas to the hotel is even at the best cases forbidding for children to walk to. We had one of the villas closest to the hotel and still when the sun hits even I found it difficult to make that walk. The hotle itself has very little to do. The rooms are nicely furnished but small and the views non existant (even for a sea view room). Service was with a snarl. Attitude to children was if they were not supposed to use all the hotel facilities(although that is not officially the case). My children are well behaved and easy to take anywhere but they got really bored. Even the spa is a walk awya . A walk that my parents did not want to do every time they had to use the spa. I think this hotel is best for Golfers and businessmen. Ina ny case I wish I had read the comments more carefully from the reviewers who warned (may be too politely) about a lot of the issues. I came back exhausted and annoyed.

This was our second visit to a Villa on Aphrodite Hills resort. We had a lovely time again.
Few changes from last year mainly the amount of building going on and the change over to the euro.
Yes we know this is a 5 star resort and the service you receive in the hotel and the quailty of food is second to none but you pay for it.
The village square is cheaper to eat but still expensive. It is much cheaper to eat in Pissouri or Koukla.

This resort is such a lovely place ,the views are wonderful, still peaceful at the moment although with all the new buildings going up i hope it stays peaceful.
The Spa and the golf course are excellent. All the staff are excellent. This really is a lovely resort.
Some things do not change..The Breakfast at the golf Club is still served stone cold, only difference is the price is twice as much as last year.!!! Don't bother going there breakfast in Hotel still good.
I would recommend this resort just enjoy everything but prepare for your bill at the end of your stay.

We spent a wonderful honeymoon and a very relaxing 10 (sunny)holidays at this hotel. We spent our days relaxing at the pool, strolling through the (huge) resort, enjoying (expensive but great) massages at the spa. I toured the golf course four times and loved every minute of it (but watch out for an occasional snake hiding in the bushes).

The night buffets at the restaurant are superb but a little expensive at 37 Euro per person. So, try the other restaurants at the village square (esp. Anoi is perfect to watch the sunset) which serves good food/drinks at affordable prices. The overall atmosphere was five-star but definitely not posh. The service of the personell is the best asset of the hotel: flawless and friendly.

There is only one minor downside: the temperature of the outsidepool is freezing cold so forget about a swim if you did not bring any wetsuit (or whalefat) with you. However, the indoorpool at the gym is a good alternative.

We had a rental car and made several trips around the island but honestly saying we were always happy to return to the hotel to enjoy our best times there. Highly recommended and another proof that tripadvisor is a great help to choose the best hotel.

“if you are visiting cyprus stay here”

InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort

As we live in Cyprus and often sample the local hotels I thought I would review our favourite place to stay on the island. The service from check in to departure is first class. I am incredibly fussy coming from a travel trade background, but this truly is a faultless experience. The rooms are beautifully furnished and are located in the main hotel or in village style buildings located in the grounds. A buggy transports you to these rooms, some of which overlook the spectacular golf course. My husband plays and this is his favourite course here.

The food either in the main hotel or in the village eateries, located on site and within walking distance is superb and varied for those staying for a week or two. Yes it can be expensive to eat and drink here but it is worth every cent for a relaxing first class experience.

There is a wonderful spa on site called the Retreat. If you are coming to stay here please don't miss the opportunity to envigorate mind body and soul with at least one treatment here.
Also the hotel runs a beach club in the Summer at Avdimou Beach. You can spend the day on an extremely comfortable sun bed being waited on hand and foot! There is a shuttle bus provided from the hotel. I would recommend having lunch at the Kyrenia Beach Tavern here. Freshly cooked fish and other home made delights and not to expensive.

The only down side for some could be the location of this Hotel. You would need to hire a car if you wanted to go anywhere off site.

I hope you find this of some help. If you do decide to stay here I am sure you won't be dissapointed.

The only thing which
