Just got back from the paphos on wednesday 10th october and had a lovely time, once we got the room we paid for, I had booked for a family room with a seaview for myself my husband and my children Harley 5 and Ellimay 3, when we got to our room there was a big wooden hut ruining our seaview, i complained about this but i think i must have got the same woman on reception the last person mentioned, there was a lady on reception that was not friendly all i can tell you is she mainly stood behind the other receptionist overlooking things. With us having 2 small children one of the main concerns with the room was the childrens bed was located next to the front door which left me very nervous sleeping in the a different room at the back of the apartment, there was no safety lock on the inside of the door so all they had to do was wake up and open the door and go exploring if they fancied it!!! as my youngest daughter does occasionally sleepwalk this left me with huge concerns, when my husband voiced our concerns the next day we was given a bigger room which i would class as a family room, with a lovely view of the sea, this is what i originally booked and paid for, so i was alittle annoyed i had to fight for it when i got there. The rooms are cleaned by very friendly cleaners everyday other then two days, and given fresh towels which was lovely, however the beds are much too hard for my liking, but sheets changed and cleaned lots throughout our stay, the room does have a tv but only one english channel which is news, and the room has plenty of cupboards and storage for unpacking, the hairdryer isnt very powerful so if i went again i would take my own, overall the rooms are nice.
Dining areas- Where to start!!! The staff in the restaurant and bar are pretty much amazing, so friendly and welcoming it made our holiday, did not see one member of staff without a smile on there face which means alot when your on holiday, (I think many of british hotels could learn a thing or two about customer service from this hotel) My children Harley and Ellimay and my friends children Connor and Ruby loved to see George at breakfast and dinner, He was such a lovely man and a credit to this hotel, I would go back mainly because of him and Mario and Christella who all took customer service to another level, nothing was too much for either of them, and my little boy Harley already misses his friend Mario, the food there was very tasty with plenty of choice, the greek sausage on greek night was delicious, and if there was nothing the kids fancied the cook was more then happy to pop them some chicken nuggets or fishfingers in, nothing was a problem for these staff and everything was done in a friendly happy manner, we didnt go all inclusive as we was there for a family wedding so wouldnt always be in the hotel, however the hotel does offer the choice of going all inclusive on days you are at the hotel which really benefitted us, and the food and drink was worth every penny.
We took the children to the zoo one day while we was there, which the hotel sorted out for us and arranged free transport there and back which was great, as im sure a cab would have been costly, the kids loved the zoo especially the parrot show, and my little boy had a parrot on his arm which he loved.
Entertainment- the entertainment was good what we saw, there was a quiz and bingo on every night but if you joined in and got involved this was fun, and i did win a bottle of red wine one night, there was not any entertainment for the chilidren which was a bit of a dissapointment, but i do understand we went during school term so maybe kids was not expected during the time of the year, i dont know if they do anything for children if you was to go during school holidays, my kids did get bored quick at night after dinner, the abba tribute on our last night was fab, and my little girl Ellimay was straight off her seat and in front of the stage dancing away with the group, she really enjoyed that night, the reps dane and his friend (who name i forgot sorry) were really good fun, and did the best they could to make the quiz and bingo enjoyable, the cartwheels from danes friend was rather funny, a cute double act, and again very friendly.
Overall we had a really enjoyable holiday and would def consider staying here again, the kids left an England top for george for him to remember him, i hope he like that, and Harley will treasure his photo of Mario his zombie friend!! lol
Wish all the staff well and thanks for an enjoyable holiday
