“Amazing Holidays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

4 days being all day in the sun and in the pool. Prices at the bar are very good. Massive swimming pool with a lifeguard on duty until 1800 hrs which is very good. Love the swimming pool and the amazing view of the sea at the same time. I have been there 2 times so far and will go again at August and next year for sure. It's great for your children. It depends what you are looking for, I enjoyed 4 days of been relaxed under the sun, lot's of beers and lot's of swimming. Staff is friendly and it's 8 minutes away from Paphos harbor and tourist area. Now for the negatives, No wireless in the rooms, only at the reception and it costs 5 euro. The beds are not very good and the pillows are even worse. But this wont ruin your vacation. Rooms are clean and you have everything you need in the room. Roomservice was a bit late and they came 2 times while I was sleeping at noon to wake me up.

Room Tip: Choose room 3503 which is near to the pool, Any room of 3500-3505

just got back from our 3rd visit to the akteon. again just nothing to complain about at all. Everything clean and catered for as usual. All the staff are so much fun, always with a smile and a joke. i have stayed in a couple of different hotels in the paphos area including a 5 star but nothing compares to this hotel. as for the entertainment staff? just out of this world, thanks guys.

Had a week all inclusive 19 May 2013. Lovely spacious room, air con free and very effective and we could even leave it on while we were out as ours didn't need the key in to work. Rooms clean but dated but adequate. Bathroom - shower wouldn't fix to the wall so you had to hold it in your hand and no plug in either basin or bath. Food I found very good considering I am a fussy eater and always plenty of tables to sit at either in or outside whatever time of day we entered the dining room. Inside bar had an amazing cocktail barman who was brilliant - very large selection and good quality. Waiter service for drinks at lunch and evening meal which is a nice touch. Lunch best meal of the day in our opinion. Only had the snacks once on the last day as we were leaving before evening meal time - the omlette I had was lovely. No late check out available as hotel full but you can use the showers downstairs in the spa but no where to dry your hair as no sockets available. Be aware to go early as I have never seen so many people trying to get showered and changed in such a small area. With the showers running constantly it was extremely hot and steamy and quite uncomfortable to get changed in. A courtesy room and allocated times would have been much better.

Nice walks in all directions from the hotel, nice to watch the locals fishing etc.

The only annoying thing for us was the constant loud music around the pool area, even while seated on the grass area it was too noisy. After two days ended up spending the afternoons on our balcony which was sea facing and had sun all the balcony all day and was of a good size. In room 1113 which was top floor and had a full sea view - in my opinion sea view worth the extra as the sunsets amazing.

For a deposit of 5 euros each towel you can have beach towels which you can change as often as you wish - and you get your money back when you check out. No hairdryers in the rooms so remember to take your own. Kitchenette well equipped but as all inclusive only made cups of tea. Fridge comes in handy for keeping your water cold.

If I visited again I would take a taxi from the airport. After waiting for the luggage and then the transfer bus this took 2 hours in total and a taxi would have made it smoother and quicker. The bus was full and Akteon is about the last drop off and we seemed to stopped off at least 9 hotels before ours.

Yes and I would return with a sea view and taxi transfer. We have also stayed at the Eleni next door which is of the same hotel chain and thought they were of similar quality.

Room Tip: Sea view worth the extra.

we stayed at the Akteon from the 26th may for two weeks. check in was smooth and very quickly we were show to our apartment. We were given a sandwich as we arrived after the restaurant closed, most of the staff were ok but some were grumpy. we hired 2 cars and my daughter had to get Avis in to change a bulb, when they brought the car back one of the receptionists gave the car to another guest who promptly went out in it using our petrol, we were not very please about this.
The rooms were clean and very spacious the ground are very well kept and very clean, food was good a good variety and plenty of it, drinks were abundant , we did not have a problem getting drinks for the family as some others guests reviews stated.
Mr Crazy was a bit over the top my grandaughter was scared stiff as he shouted a lot but my other grandaughter thought he was good. we stopped the children going to the kids club because the ratio of adults to children was unacceptable. 1 adult to 20 or more kids, they seemed short of staff and just offered jobs to anyone even my son. i thought this was not a good thing as he did not know their background Gio was selling diving trips and was taken on without any checks. as was a young welsh girl, sorry but if i entrust my grandchildren with people they should be checked properly.
the entertainment was ok a bit boring after the first week, kids disco was the same every night and bingo was infuriating as Mr crazy messed about all the time so we went before it started. the children that were there really enjoyed it and joined in with all the dances.

all in all we really enjoyed our holiday and would recommend it to anyone. hotel fab no beach but if you go down the coastal path there is a small beach but this was always crowded. we went to the Aqua Sol Village for the day [as it the same chain, so you can go in] and enjoyed the on site water park. this was located in coral bay turn first exit off roundabout turn right and follow road round and you will see the signs well worth going, we had drinks with our armband.
very good place for a good family holiday, full of Russian holiday makers as well.

Room Tip: If you have little ones avoid the rooms near the bar and pool can be noisy, upstairs room are good a...

I just got back from a two week holiday with my family at the Akteon. There were 7 of us, including two younger children, aged 4 and 5.

Pros:
- We got given sandwiches on arrival (we arrived late after the evening meal had been served)\
- Each of the rooms were large, clean and tidy and came with their own kitchenette.
- Entertainment was good. We enjoyed the fireeating, the kids loved the disco and 'Mr Crazy'
- Good range of drinks at the cocktail bar
- No problems with our air con which was a blessing!
- Great value for money

Cons:
- Food did get a bit repetitive, as did the entertainment
- The pool lifeguard seemed more interested in the bar than tending to the pool!
- A huge discrepancy in the quality of the cocktails depending on who is serving them and which bar!
- There isn't a decent beach very close

Tips:
- Go to the Dionysis cocktail bar for drinks not the pool bar!
- Go as all inclusive - it's definitely worth it!
