Me and my partner arrived at the hotel to be greeted by very unwelcoming reception staff. The remote for the air conditioning needs to be hired, 20 euros. The website said you had a hair dryer in room but this also had to be hired, 20 euros. But had to be returned straight away after using it. They gave you one with a two pin plug when all sockets in room are standard english ones, so it couldnt be used. When i asked the staff about it they would just shrug their shoulders and pretend they didnt understand. There were 5 hair dryers for the whole hotel.
The rooms were spacious but because the maids couldnt be bothered to empty the bins there were always ants in the room (loads infact). Our towels didnt get changed for 4 days and we had to ask for this doing.
The bar staff were either really happy or miserble and wouldnt speak to you if they were in a mood.
Overall i would not go back even though the hotel itself was quite nice it was just let down by the staff, you wouldnt think we actually paid there wages.

Just come back from an all-inclusive 1 weeks stay at the Akteon.
We were dissapointed when we arrived, mainly because of the weather. When we landed it was 6 degrees and raining and snowing! However, the rain cleared and the temperatures started to rise to the extent that when we left it was around 20 degrees with clear skies! Akteon Village was good, the receptionist was very helpful, and most of the other staff were friendly too. However, did notice that if you were all inclusive, you sometimes tended to get ignored by the waitress as I guess they could earn tip's from the ones which were paying for the drinks... I wouldn't recommend cyprus in the Winter especially if you have children as the weather is so unreliable and hardly anything is open. The kids club wasn't open at the hotel (even though we were told prior to going that it was) and there wasn't a great deal to do at the hotel as it was away from the centre of paphos. However, you can hire a car and there is a bus running every 10 minutes which cost just over a euro each to travel on. We were lucky with the weather as it did end up to be hot enough to sit by the pool, go to the beach and in the sea (the pool was too cold to go in) but if we didn't have the weather, I wouldn't have enjoyed it because of the lack of things to do. I'm sure that in the summer, the hotel is a great place to go and there are so much more things to do but it was only on the last day that the bingo started and there were some dances for the kids. Overall I would recommend the Akteon, its clean, probably more a 3 star than a 4, most of the staff are friendly and I'm sure their are alot more activities once the season starts.

i am 14 and went on this holiday with a large group of my family for new years eve. we was swapped hotels and told that this hotel was a 4 star but wen we got thre it was onli a 2 goin on a 3. we were all inclusive and the bar staff were sumtimes veri rude towards people whu werent paying 4 there drinks although most of the time thy were veri friendly. the maids onli cleaned the room everi 2 daiis nd werent veri friendly. on new yearss eve ther was a big gala dinner tht thy tried 2 charge us 30 euros each wen it was the sme food wed been eatin all threw the week. and when we complained and finally got in for free it was naff music and the new years celebration was rubbish. the alchol was watered down and so the other teenagers we were with had to go out to get drunk.if teenagers and young adults are going here i would recommend going to bar street its great with its clubs and pubs that were lively even in winter. but otherwise this os a family friendly place that i wud recomend 2 older couples.

Hotel was nice and clean, staff were friendly, the problem was that the hotel was too far away from everything, thankfuly we hired a car , otherwise it would have been a very boring holiday. the food in hotel was not good and we had to search for a place to eat near by. The tour rep Tony was very rude.
