“Poor”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

Spent a lot of holidays in Paphos at various hotels but this one was by far the worst we have ever stayed at !! Food was terrible, After the first two days I was struck down with food poisoning and spent 5 days ill ! Entertainment was also very poor as was pool area.... what else can I say.
Spent the last 5 days of our holiday out and about just so we didn't have to be in the hotel.

Room Tip: Don't go to Akteon.

I too was a liitle disappointed when we first entered our room, but this soon disappeared. The room was basic but it was also spotless and it was kept that way by the cleaning staff, in fact the whole area of the resort was very clean. The food is off a good quality and although the choice is limited the good quality makes up for that. Hotel staff are very friendly and attentive. The entertainment team really make the holiday, as they are on the go during the day and every evening, probably the best team I have come across so far, really nice people with a fantastic sense of humour. A lovely pool and plenty of sunbeds available. I really cannot agree with some of the negative comments that have been written.

Room Tip: I would try for a first floor room with a sea view.

We been guests on room 2014 Block 20 on 22 of sep 2012.We got there in the after noon on 22 sep checked in for 2 days and they did'nt have our booked rooms. We waited there for finding us the room and give something else in other part on the village.
The living room was full of ants, the bed and the pillows was full of HAIR, pubian also.Thismake us sick, we call reception and they came in the night to change the sheets and the guy who came apology in the name of the Hotel, telling us to go in the morning and to talk to manager called HRISTOS, something like this.
In the morning, this ' manager' called us liers, that we searching for reasons , and told us the hotel is very clean and he don;t have complaints. After 2 minutes he said that, a couple of old people from ENgland came to reception to complain about the cleaning and the sheets.....come on, and he made us liers..Bad service, bad management, bad housekeeping, bad food.
He did;nt want to make us refund and we left the hotel, goind to North Cyprus (turkey part), and we checked in for Hotel Merit 5 * All inclusive. For good price for DBL room.is on the beach, not like AKTEON, alot of food, good cleaning, good service, Casino, food all the day.Turkish services are the best, not like Cypriots, they are 100 Years back in time.

So, for someone who wants to have a great Holiday, DO NOT GO TO AKTEON, i meen it, you will regret everything.Choose somewhere else in Paphos, maybe VENUS hotel, is on the beach and is clean, good service, i been 2 years ago there.or go to North Side, better and serivces Excellent.

Started off disappointed but thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at this hotel and the weather was fantastic.

When we arrived at the room our first impressions were not great, the room was basic, tired and need of a lick of paint. However on opening our curtains we found a most fantastic sunset view over the sea that gladdened our weary legs. Plenty of storage space for clothes etc and the room has basic cooking facilities if you need them though we were all inclusive.

Apart from our room (3902) the rest of the hotel was completed to a very high standard and you could opt to sit on the veranda while having your meals with views over the sea. Overall the food was to a very good standard whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner and you could even grab a snack by the bar if you had missed the morning breakfast.

The pool was large, clean and a great place to cool your body from the continual sunshine. Sun loungers were available by the pool or on the grassed area to the side. We opted for the grassier area and there were a few midges around but they didnt cause to much problems for us. Around the complex there are some cats / kittens and they are friendly and tend to lie in the sun and not cause to much bother.

I found all the staff to be friendly and to give excellent service and the odd tip given here or there is appreciated. The waiting staff are quick to serve your drinks and to clear your table, my partner was a bit put off at first as one persons plate may be taken before another is finished but she soon appreciated there efficiency.

The entertainment was on a basic level but well worth the view, the entertainments team are a great bunch and put there heart into every performance and the titanic rendition had the crowd in stitches. there are various things going on during the day such as Archery, aqua fit and water polo.

There is not to much to do around the village but as with a lot of places in Cyprus there is a lot of work in progress.

Overall we had great value for money and really enjoyed this holiday... many thanks to the management & staff at the Akteon

Room Tip: Would opt for a sea view balcony room if possible

Checked in early hours of the morning and no assistance was given to finding our room. We were just told to go off in the pitch black, there was no food or water immediately available but we did eventually get a glass of water and a sandwich.

The staff were so unfriendly. They made you feel you were a nuisance rather than a guest.

The rooms were very basic and there were ants everywhere. The rooms were not cleaned everyday and the towels were disgraceful.

Animation team tried their very best and were entertaining.

Food was basic with very cheap cuts of meat and leftover food seemed to be served the following day.

just come back from my holidays in this hotel.(7days in september). everything was spot on! (bare i mind it's 4 star hotel) food was excelent,, nice large and clean rooms...maby bads could be better..., very nice staff,... all good- quality entertaiment team (just love them!!!) the only bad thing about this hotel is lack of wi-fi (its not for free...and limited -about 6 euros for 1.5 hour )...hotel is situated in lovely place near to the sea, beautiful wiews...only pebble beaches around... nearest sandy beach about 15-20 minutes by bus... and same distance to harbour -better to change money before You get to hotel, reception dont really want to exchange... and nearest cash point /bank is about 10 minutes by bus (problem is .. sometimes is hard toget to the bus...
Me and My Fiance had excelent time in this hotel...i ll strongly recomended akteon village to everyone who is not addicted to internet :-)

Room Tip: i recomended block 52 ....but i think that village is desgned right for everyone, and its quite clos...
