“Wonderful night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013 via mobile

Have passed when it was under previous ownership and a different name, but went there for a drink originally a week or so and we were so impressed at the way that it had been re-vamped, really tastefully done. While we were there we looked at the menu and decided immediately that we wanted to come back on another night to eat there, and we weren't disappointed.
We both started with seafood tartlets, they were almost a meal in themselves, for mains my wife had the seafood pasta, whilst I plumbed for the al forno, both dishes were beautifully cooked and served. The only criticism I could make is that there is a wine list of bottled wine only with no village carafes, but that is being very picky as the wine we chose anyway was a local Cypriot wine at a good price and excellent quality. A special mention for the waitress who attended us on the night, she had an excellent customer service attitude with just the right mix of being there when required, but leaving you to yourselves at other times. In all an excellent night and this restuarant can be recommended to anyone.

as ex-pats living in Cyprus for over 3 years we have some knowledge of prices and quality.
The meal was, mostly, good food and well presented but I suffered all night from indigestion and reflux, the high price, the bill for four was 150 euros and the fact that when one of our party complained about their meal there was no offer to put this right definitely will mean no return visit for us.
The seating was uncomfortable being wooden chairs with a hard woven straw seats.
The service was good but there seemed to be an anxiousness about the staff in the restaurant .
It is a shame that an otherwise good restaurant should be spoilt by these things and as we have found in Cyprus some businesses do not understand the concept of customer service and consequently are losing trade because of this, we never buy again from somewhere that we have had bad service from, there is an attitude that tourists are like buses and if you upset one another will be along in a minute, for an island whose major industry is tourism this is incredible.
This attitude will eventually destroy the Cypriot tourist trade and in the current financial climate it might bring Cyprus to its knees, it needs to be changed to attention to customer complaints and needs and putting to rights any problems.
A customer that has poor service will tell possibly 30 other people, one that has had good service will tell possibly 10.

My name is Alexandru Dobre and I am the owner of Sunset Breeze. Your review comes as a total surprise for me. We have constantly received only excellent and very good reviews. We pride ourselves in using only the freshest ingredients, and therefore indigestion and reflux seem very unlikely. As for the prices, we have deliberately set ours lower than the competition, given that we are a new establishment. We do not compete with the average taverna, but compared to other high-end establishments, we have lower prices.
If you would like to have a chat and discuss your dining experience, you can always contact me by phone: 96239030.

Best regards,
Alexandru Dobre

“Do not miss out on this”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

We have been there several times in the past four weeks and continue to be impressed. The location is easy to find with a great sea view and the design of the building means it can be managed to provide comfort and fresh air. Décor bright and cheerful. Staff are friendly and helpful,. Food is Mediterranean but with an interesting Eastern European/London additive. The home-made vine leaves and ice creams are delicious, pork chops and swordfish divine and if you want to know how it was prepared the chef will come out and talk to you. Wine list is interesting and looks expensive for local growths but when you taste it you know why! This must be at the leading edge of the new wave of restaurants in Paphos and leaves the average one in the weeds. If you have kiddies or doggies there is even a playground each for them, an interesting and novel idea. Price-wise at the mid-upper end for out of town Paphos but well worth it and better value and food-wise than many so-called top establishments. Will we continue to go there? Definitely!!

“Amazing views, lovely staff, yummy food and wonderful Mojitos!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

I was impressed before I even sat down to eat. The interior is beautiful, relaxing and nautical themed. The outside area is also great for enjoying the views (or a cocktail or two!). The cocktails are only EUR5.50 and are expertly made so I highly recommend!

The food is delicious and they pride themselves on having the freshest ingredients and the owners tell me that they only have one freezer (which they use for the home-made icecream!)

I find the food to be excellent value and after reading a few reviews stating the choice is limited, I would like to say that this only shows that they specialise in quality as opposed to quantity. There is nothing more tacky than a menu with 20 pages!

There is a lovely little play area for kiddies as well as colouring and games to keep them occupied!

You can tell that this is an establishment in to which the owners have poured their heart and soul and I could not recommend enough!
