“Nice but noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014

This is a new hotel and in general it's very nice, we didn't mind the minimalist interiors. However the lack of soft furnishings made it very noisy. We where on the top floor, and you could hear every chair scrap, and table move. The room below was occupied by a young family and you could hear the kids running about and screaming. The noise seemed resonate up through the whole block! The staff where lovely and I'm am sure they would have moved us, but as we where only there 3 nights we stuck with it. Perhaps a rug or to on the room floors, may help with the noise.
The breakfast was good with enough choice, and the staff helpful. The hotel is in a good location.
It still has an unfinished feel to it at present, but I am sure it will be very nice when all completed.

Room Tip: Go for a suite, you get a much larger balcony.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and we liked it even more! It is a beautiful setting and the view is breathtaking! All the rooms face the beach. Trendy decor, utterly clean, excellent location, in the middle of everything. The Kings Avenue Mall is very near for great shopping! All the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We were up grated to a suite which we very much enjoyed. We shall definitely stay here during our next visit to Paphos. Very special thanks to Mr. Yiangos Yiangou and Despina.

Room Tip: All the rooms are spacious and modernly decorated.

From arriving to leaving this hotel was excellent. Our room was not quite ready when we arrived so we were given a free coffee while we waited. The staff then came to get us fro the bar area and we were taken to our suite, pure luxury, minimalist but certainly adequate with a sofa, tv, and drinks making equipment in the living area, dressing table very comfortable bed and plenty of storage place in the bed room. The bath room housed a full sized bath, walk in shower and a wash basin each. The room had a large balcony, ideal for sitting out in an evening. Now for the food. The breakfast was to die for with a very big choice, toast and preserves, fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, cereals, continental, or English/American hot breakfast with choices of eggs cooked in four different ways with bacon, sausage, mushrooms, roast potatoes tomatoes and other seasonal vegetables. The evening meal gave you at least two meat and one fish choice with various vegetables and potatoes in different styles, plus your starter of bread, olives etc or soup. Desserts were a bit similar each night but their was also a good selection of fruit on offer too, The staff from the cleaners, kitchen staff, receptionists right to the management were very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work everyone and thank you for a very very enjoyable stay. Pamela Winship

Room Tip: All rooms face the pool and the sea, you can't go wrong.

I've just come back from this place only this morning, after a week with the wife and got to say I would never stay here again,it's not the best place for the money,we didn't pay mega to stay here but we've seen in the summer it will cost £1,300 a week to stay here if I had the choice or knowledge I have now I would spend it else where, the pool area is just concrete with two holes filled with water very poor design and very unattractive, there was workmen digging stuff up or filling in holes around the grounds everyday rushing to get it finished properly for summer no doubt!!! So we didn't really feel valued the whole time we was there, but the maids and cleaners are amazing so friendly as was the staff at the breakfast buffet,if you like plain and basic it's perfect but for the money they want to charge you sun worshippers I would strongly think twice.

We were full of expectation after reading the excellent reviews ,after booking we emailed requesting a third floor room with a double bed, we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted to have a really special time. There was no response to our email but we were due to arrive in 4days so we just hoped they had received our request.
on arrival we checked in and transported to our room by golf buggy, a nice touch. The porter immediately offered to replace the twin bed's with a double without us even asking, this was done within the hour. Our room was lovely, couldn't fault it except the balcony was quite small, but there was a great sea view and sunshine in the afternoon. The housekeepers were great replacing toiletries daily and keeping the room beautiful.
The hotel is still being developed and there is a huge spa, shopping, villa and apartment complex being built next door to the current hotel so be prepared for some noise. There are areas that are unfinished but its a work in progress and will be lovely when complete.
Breakfast was great every day with masses of choice as was the evening buffet , but, the dining room lacks atmosphere and is reminiscent of a canteen. The evening meal was pleasant with plenty of choice but the environment was not one that made you want to take your time and relax which was a shame. The opposite could be said for Suite 48 which is part of the complex. Truly relaxing, intimate and a wonderful place to just take your time and enjoy the evening. Sofa's, open fire and views directly out to sea. Great view point to watch the lightning storm at night! Staff were lovely and drinks generous!
Our biggest disappointment was that despite completing a form on check in that requested anniversary dates, our 25th wedding anniversary came and went without anything happening...... why ask for the information if you're going to choose to ignore it? !
Despite this we had a peaceful and relaxing holiday, the walk to the harbour is lovely, newly pedestrianised and the hotel is nice but will be lovely when finished and the garden is established.

Have just visited this hotel and had a lovely off season break here. It is in a good position in paphos and all facilities are new. Have been to paphos many times before and remember the old winery that hotel is built on. Lovely pool area and gardens to sit in and I think there will be enough space and beds in summer to cope with demand. Rooms nice and bed very comfortable. Breakfast excellent with enough choice. Needed a quiet holiday and hotel fitted the bill. The only problem is I will not probably be able to afford to stay here in future. Would definitely recommend.

Just returned from a wonderful week at this hotel

Location perfect, far enough from pathos center to get pease and quite on a night yet within 15 to 20 mins walking distance along the coastal path.

Food, what can i say,the only thing that beat the loverley evening meal was the breakfast i have never seen so much choice.

The rooms, basic but have every thing you need, and a large balcony to watch the sunset.

And the staff are exellent, from the cleaners who keep the place spotless, the restuarant staff and
recieption staff who make you feel very welcome from checking in to checking out.

Thanks to every one at Amphora Resort for giving us an exellent week.
