“first visit to cyprus”

Pandream Hotel Apartments

My husband and I have just arrived back from our first visit to Cyprus. We were over for a wedding and made it our summer holiday staying at the Pandream for 14 nights. We were very happy with our maisonette apartment which had a garden terrace looking over the pool area (which is lovely and kept very clean) and also a balcony off the bedroom. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the maids came in 6 days a week. The location of the apartments is excellent. Only a few minutes walk from restaurants and bars and a thirty minute walk to the harbour and Bar street. The bus service is excellent, with a bus every 15mins to the harbour, Coral Bay and the market.
On our arrival at the Pandream we enquired about the air conditioning and were quite annoyed when we were informed that the cost of this is 10 euros a day!! We could have paid this but did not, on principal. If we had had a budget for our hol 140 euros could have eaten quite a large hole in it! Also a charge of 4 euros per day is made for the tv remote. Shocking!! Again, we did not pay this (who needs a tv on hol?) but felt the Pandream let themselves down by being greedy.
I would recommend these apartments for their cleanliness, location and friendliness but be warned of the hidden extra costs for amenities which are normally included in the cost of your holiday!

“this apart-hotel is clean but needs refurbishment”

Pandream Hotel Apartments

we booked this package through 'first choice'. it was not the best place we have stayed but certainly not the worst. the apartment was clean and fairly comfortable but was badly in need of a complete refurbishment. the furniture and fittings (especially in the kitchen) are very dated and tatty. the fridge door was rusty on the outside and none of the cupboard doors would close fully. the worktop also has seen it's best. we were not too happy with having a 2 storey apartment but as we did not arrive until 4am we decided not to bother to ask for a change of room. considering there was only 2 or 3 apartments in use while we were there i could not understand why we were given such a shabby one. there are old wooden shutters to the french doors in the lounge and bedroom and these were very difficult to open & close. there was no information pack in the apartment which i thought was odd, considering they had their own resturant & shop to promote.
i was amazed that still in this day & age we were not allowed to flush toilet tissue etc down the loo but had to put it in the bin provided. (not hygenic).
on a positive note: the hotel was in a good location just out of the centre (about 15 minute walk).
the pool & surrounding areas were cleaned every morning so no complaints there. the members of staff that we did see were very pleasant and helpful. the owner did put some grocery items in for our arrival ( which we thank him for) as the holiday rep had forgotten to put in the welcome pack that we had purchased.
we were very dissapointed with this holiday in general. paphos to us was very run down and neglected. we will not be going there again.

Upon arrival at the pandream apartments we were shown to our room on the top floor overlooking the pool (as requested) and surprised to walk into such a spacious apartment. The room was very clean and upon opening the doors we discovered we had a balcony and a veranda.
The room was cleaned every day except sunday and the beds and towels changed every third day by a very friendly maid for which nothing was to much trouble.
The apartments were very central and within walking distance to some great bars and restaurants and about 30 mins walk to the harbour.
Loved the swimming pool although abit cold when you first went in, great pool if you enjoy swimming a lenghth or two.
We have nothing bad to say about these apartments all staff seemed friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble.
Lovely itialian restaurant nearby called Riminis very good food and friendly staff.

“Really pleased”

Pandream Hotel Apartments

We went to Cypurs for a wedding which was being held at one of the 5 stars and we couldn't justify the prices they charged so opted for a smaller, cheaper one for our 4 day stay. We were really please with the Pandream. Room 313 was fab. Everything you need and great views. I booked the hotel directly and got a great rate includign breakfast at the Opus (next door which was great) and air con which is normally 5CYP per day.

We were closer to the harbour etc than the bigger hotels at the other end but were far enough away to have a really quiet stay.

5 mins from door are restaurants and bars etc, to get a full meal, or a pina colada. No hassle from owners which you get a bit of when down at the harbour end.

Together with the fab weather, some lovely little hidden corners on beaches (if you seek them out) and really lovely staff, it exceeded our expectations.

10/10 found this review helpful

After reading the reviews I was a bit concerned that the place would not be as good as I was expecting....IT WAS FAR BETTER THAN I EXPECTED, and can only think some of the other reviewers were on drugs.

Arrived in the middle of he afternoon and were shown to a spacious double bedded apartment with bath/shower and living room and kitchen along with 2 balconies.

We took the aircon option and at a mere £5CYP per day it was well worth it. Room had a TV, but who watches TV on holiday, when you can walk to any number of relaxing bars in under 10 minutes. (You can stroll fro half an hour to the harbour and the infamous Bar Street (aptly named it was), so you can have quiet or busy whatever you choose.

The apartments were attached to the Opus restaurant, we had a light lunch there once, we had breakfast there once and we also had an evening meal of a Meze, which was fantastic.

The staff were excellent, the rooms were well kept and cleaned almost daily. The pool area was spacious, and there were never more than about 10 people in/around the pool, even though there were more than enough sunbeds and umbrellas (which were free), none of this reserving a bed with your towel.

To start with, the pool bar was not really open but when it did it serverd nice lunches and bar drinks. I would suggest that if you are going to eat a 3 course lunch you only have a sandwich.

I went to Cyprus as my sister was getting married at another hotel, the Amathus Beach Hotel- a much more superior hotel and to be honest, our small cheap apartment was far far better for the needs we wanted.
